✮ Mute Astro Boy x Reader // Hush

"Tell me where it is Astro!" Atlas yelled.

"I'll never talk." Astro gritted out  as he tries to rip Atlas' grasp from around his neck.

"Is that so?" Atlas grinned. "Then let's make it offical." Atlas flew to a building and pinned Astro down. He thrusted his hand into Astro's throat and pulled out his voice box. Astro's eyes widened and he gasped for a breath. Atlas then dropped Astro. Sending him down to hit the floor with a loud clank.

"Astro! Astro wake up!" Zoran cried.

"Now now, Zoran, I'm sure he's going to be just fine." O'shay said as Zoran sniffled.

"Yeah. After all, I helped Doctor O'shay fix him!" Reno grinned.

"I just hope he-" Your eyes widened. "Look! He's waking up!" You pointed out.

Astro's eyes fluttered open and and sat up. He squinted an rubbed his eyes. He tried to say 'what's going on?' But nothing came out. Astro's hands threw up to his throat as he tried to speak but he just couldn't.

"Astro, Atlas has taken your voice box." O'shay explained. "We found it, but it's going to take a while to fix."

Astro's eyes widened. He then frowned, making everyone also frown.

"Don't worry Astro, you'll be back to normal in no time!" Kennedy said cheerfully, making Abercrombie nod.

"It'll be alright Astro." You smiled.

"So, do you guys wanna hang out at the treehouse?" You asked, walking along with your friend group.

"Sorry (Y/N), I got soccer practice." Kennedy shrugged.

"I have tutoring tonight." Alejo said.

"I have-" Abercombie started.

"Okay, I get it, no one can come." You sweat dropped.

Reno smirked at Astro. "Say.. Astro hasn't said he can't come."

You all turned around to face Astro, he froze. You then grinned.

"Astro, if you don't want to come, you should say something." You teased. Astro deadpanned you.

"I think he'd like to come hang out with you." Reno snickered.

"I'm so glad you want to spend time with me Astro!" You smiled and put your arm around him. He huffed soundlessly.

You placed your arms behind your head and walked along the street with Astro by your side, he was holding his arm. He seemed to be embarrassed by not being able to talk to you.

"So Astro, I heard you got a score of 100% on the maths semester test. Did you cheat? Say something if you didn't cheat." You grinned. Astro placed his hands on his hips and frowned at you. You gasped. "Astro! You cheated??" You placed your hand over your mouth. Astro flicked the side of your head and you snickered. "Okay okay, I'll stop." You smiled.

You and Astro continued walking, he seemed to be looking around a lot and taking in the city. You noticed this and also looked around. You'd never actually stopped to take in the beautiful sights until now. You smiled crookedly and walked down the street still looking at the tall buildings. He grabbed your arm and you turned around to face him. He pointed to another road.

"Oh, right, it's down that way." You sweat dropped. "I just spaced off, sorry."

Astro push your butt up giving you an unneeded boost up the ladder. You let out a shout as Astro pushed you up, making you trip and fall onto the wood floor. "Ouch." You grumbled. You sat on the floor of the treehouse and waited for Astro to get up too. Once Astro got up and sat in front of you.

"Huh, this is a lot more awkward since you can't talk." You tilted your head to the side. Astro sweat dropped. "Hm.. Let's play charades! I'll ask you some questions, and you'll answer them with out talking and I'll try to figure out what you said."

Astro shrugged and then nodded.

"Okay! First question." You rubbed your hands together. "Who's you favourite friend?" You grinned. Astro deadpanned you and crossed his arms. "Alright alright, I'll give you a proper one."

"Hm.. What else can we talk about? What about... I know! Who do you have a crush on?" You crossed your legs.

Astro rubbed his chin with his other hand on his hip and looked down. He then looked straight at you and then walked over to you. he took a seat next to you and continued to hold your gaze.

"Erm, don't you want to do this anymore?" You asked, shuffling away from him slightly.

Astro shook his head no and moved closer to you, your legs touching. 

"Are you giving me a hint on who you like?" You asked. Astro nodded. You hummed in thought. "Sitting next to me.. Sitting.. Me.." You slumped over. "I'm stumped. Can I have another clue?" Astro then continued to lay down on your lap, making you flinch. "Could it be me? Well if you like me- wait no! That's crazy!" You nervously laughed, Astro straightened up again, no longer on your lap. "You can't like me! Oh god I wish you could talk! Then you could-" Astro placed his finger over your lip, shutting you up. 

His eyes softened and his hands snaked to the back of your head gently. He pulled you closer while leaning forward. After what seemed to be forever, your lips collided. Although your bodies were slightly apart you'd never felt closer to him. Astro's closed eyes didn't open to look at you, your eyes softened and then closed just like his.

After a minute, you pulled away and took a breath in. Astro flashed a nervous smile at you, which you returned. This was nice, just sitting with the one you loved in silence with your emotions and thoughts.

Sometimes you don't need to say anything, silence speaks it all.
