I ducked from another hit, slamming my own fist into the guy's ribs.

From the harsh grunt and his stumbling back, I might've cracked a rib or two.

A growl sounded from my lips as I stayed in my crouched, fighting position.

The four guys growled back, but it was like a kitten's purr compared to my feral growl.

"Come on, lets go!" The leader of the gang hissed, his baby blue eyes narrowing down on me.

In a few minutes I was alone in that dirty alley.

Carefully, I sat down on the dirty ground, taking a deep breath to calm down. That fight was more of a nuisance than anything else.

Soft rustling from the end of the tunnel made me glare down there.

Quietly, a large black wolf stepped out, its piercing green eyes glaring into my bright blue orbs.

I only scoffed at the large dog. It wasn't uncommon for wolves to come into the city as the most remarkable feature about it, was that it was surrounded by forested area.

The alpha wolf padded over to me, a growl leaving its muzzle. Again, I only scoffed.

"You're a handsome wolf, but not all intimidating."

The wolf tilted their head off to the side, clearly confused on my indifference to it.

"I've seen worst beasts in a man's eye... Compares to them, you guys are merciful."

Slowly, I laid my hand on the creature's head, leisurely rubbing their ears.

I know people say don't do this to a wild animal, but if I'm going to die, might as well be by an animal.

The great wolf leaned into my hand, closing their bright eyes in enjoyment.

Sighing, I let my hand fall before standing up. The pain in my sprained ankle quickly came back as the adrenaline faded. Still, I walked out of that alley without so much as glancing back, not even once. I had to get home.
