I gave a shudder breath of relief for the few minutes the other guy was giving me.
My body was limp against the chains, blood lightly flowing down my arms, but it didn't go far as the sleeves soaked most of it up.
My body felt heavy, many bones having been broken and new bruises forming over old ones... It just sucked... Though, if I was going to be honest... This wasn't far from what I'm use too.
I took as deep of a breath as my body dared, it hurt, but I still couldn't get enough air.
"Ready fer round two, pest?" The guy was having fun doing this... What a fucking sadist.
I kept my mouth shut, simply closing my eyes so I could hopefully fall asleep... Even if everything was painful or uncomfortable.
I could feel the guy pulling his fist back, but he never had a chance as the door to the room slammed open, making a crunching sound as it hit the concrete wall.
I openly winced as I didn't have the strength to hide it.
"Alpha, yer-"
"Jax, what the hell!" An all too familiar voice shouted, making me groan.
Begrudgenly, I opened my eyes to see an emerald eyed Ashton, who looked both pissed and horrorified.
I winced again, my head bobbing down as I took in a shuddering breath. It all hurt too much.
Footsteps hurriedly went to me and before I knew it, I was free of the damn cuffs.
My teach caught me as I started falling forward, but I yelped out in pain as he had wrapped his arms around my broken ribs, something that was bound to happen no matter what...
"What the hell did I say about breaking and hurting any prisoners that we have?" He barked at the other, his hold on me tightening before quickly loosening. "Forget it, I'll talk about it later."
I felt him shift and then I felt myself being held like a baby or a bride... Whichever, it didn't matter, he just held me as carefully and gently as he could.
It didn't matter, plenty part of me was hurt enough that even if his touch was as soft as a dove's feather, I'd probably still be in some form of pain.
"That guy is an ass." I grumbled weakly, my voice barely above a whisper.
Ash didn't respond, making me open my eyes to see him.
He looked rather worried now.
Even with the agony I was in, I could feel him speed-walking... He was acting desperate... Over someone so unimportant... It was stupid...
I very carefully laid my head on his chest, taking one last shuddering breath, before... Before I simply allowed myself to let go... To fall into the fires of hell that I call dreams.
