I had done my best to stay clear of Ashton's parents and their friend, but... I couldn't stay away from long. Ashton was very insistent that I get to know them... The only one else to join me on that was Steel.
Of course, he didn't fight it and was kind enough to properly sign to them that he was mute. He won their favor for that.
"Jaxon!" Rowan shouted at me across the training field.
I looked to her with a raised eyebrow. I wasn't breaking any of their rules... I wasn't hurting the guy I was sparring against...
She then pointed to a large window... Ash's office window.
I nodded and left the field. Seems I was late to our lunch.
Since I was already late, I took a quick shower since I was a bit smelly and I don't like eating when I smell.
After getting into some comfortable clothes, I left for his office.
I knocked for a second and then opened it.
I thought he'd be alone since he usually was, but... It seemed I was set up.
He was there, but with his Father and Mother sitting in front of him.
The woman smiled brightly, her eyes glowing with happiness.
"It is wonderful to finally meet you properly." She chirped out.
I glared at Ashton as he held a smirk.
"Asshole." I muttered, knowing very well he heard me.
Hot Stuff only laughed softly and motioned to some take out.
"Had your sis run and get you your favorite. Or would you rather me just throw-"
"Do that and I will kill you." I growl, fully walking into the room.
Logan narrowed his eyes on me as I sat near his son.
"You're... Violent." He stated hesitantly.
I nodded, quietly eating my food.
"Father, he's fine. He just really loves his food."
I shrug, not really bothering on explaining things to the old guy... I still don't trust them, even Steel doesn't trust them!
I sigh softly as I finish my meal, the three of them talking to each other. It was mostly about the Ash getting a wife to help him "rule" the pack.
"Young man." Logan sounded annoyed.
I looked down at him since I had started to stare off at the ceiling.
"Yes, sir?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
He glared at me, straightening his back.
"I want you to change your attitude." I chuckled at that.
"Yeah... When you've walked a mile in my shoes, I'll ask you for advice." I hissed out.
There was a sigh to my left, before a firm voice cut through the tense air.
"Father, Jaxon is fine. He doesn't get into unnecessary fights unless the other person throws the punch first."
The two stared at each other for two intense minutes before the old guy stood up, his wife swiftly following suit.
"Fine. Have it your way if you want a disrespectful mate." He growled, marching out of the room.
Bella winced at his words before shaking her head. She gave us one final smile before rushing after her husband. She seemed a little angry...
Ashton sighed heavily as I grumbled a few swear words under my breath.
"Sorry about him... He's just worried-"
"That you won't find a wife. I heard your conversations." I mumbled, looking over to him.
He looked a bit tired and bored.
"Yeah... He also likes to challenge me a bit... Even though he says he's proud, he makes me do a fuck lot more work that doesn't need to be done."
I sighed heavily, relaxing into my chair.
"Sounds like he's not use to taking no for an answer... Or knowing when to just shut the fuck up, huh?"
He nodded with a soft chuckle.
"But, he's taught me to be a hard worker and well." He shrugged his shoulders.
I nodded and laid my arms and head on his desk. I closed my eyes a bit as I felt myself really relax.
Gently, a hand started to mess with my hair and softly brush along my neck. I shivered a bit but didn't really swat his hand away.
"If your tired, you can sleep on the couch... A lot more comfortable than this." He had a soft laugh in his voice.
I grunted a bit, but lifted myself off of his desk and moved my ass to his couch. It was much more comfortable than his desk...
I took a deep breath before letting myself go to sleep. I really didn't care about anything else.
