"Hello??"
I answered my phone
And a familiar voice answered
"HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!"

"JONATHAN! Calm down! I think I'm deaf in one ear now because of you!"

"Oh sorry, well I was wondering if you'd like to come down to the lake one last time before school starts,"

"Oh sure, when?"
"Uhhhh how about now?"
"Ok let me get my coat and I'll meet you outside your house."
"That won't be necessary."
"What do you mean?"
"Look outside your window."

Strange. But I did and there was Jonathan waiting outside.
I hung up grabbed my coat and backpack and met him outside

"Say it."

"What do you mean Jon?"

" I mean that I'm the best boyfriend ever"
I laughed
"Maybe..."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!"
"Well What I mean is that I don't feel like walking"
It was true I wanted to lay down and be a lazy couch potato like I've been almost all break.
"Hmmm"
I could Almost hear the gears turning in Jonathan's head.
And suddenly he crouched down
"Get on my back"
"What?!"
"You heard me, I'm going to become the best boyfriend ever is it's the last thing I do"
"Jonathan-"
Too late, he scooped me up and before I knew it I was on his back and we were heading towards Lake Flora.
It's always felt like home

School was awful and if things were rough at my house I'd go here and drown out my worries with a good playlist and my sketchbook.

"We're here"
Jonathan said as he plopped me down on a small hill of snow under the shadow of the frozen willow trees overlooking the frozen lake.
Jonathan sat next to me and I pulled out my earbuds and we shared them like always, and I put on my favorite playlist by my favorite artist "Cavetown"
And we sat there, making small talk but mostly enjoying the moment.
"I love you"
Jonathan whispered in my ear
"I...."

But before I could finish I noticed Jonathan had fallen asleep so I decided to sleep as well.

People would say this is wrong

I was HAPPY.

I WAS FINE,
But I guess that dosent matter to my arch-nemesis/ ex girlfriend

"Oh My GoD! Hah *click*

I woke Up to Taylor McLain, with her Polaroid camera and phone out , taking in the scene that lay before her I stood up and woke Sherwin up.

"What the heck are you doing here Taylor?!"

"I came to enjoy the frozen lake and instead came across an even better photo shoot, Just wait until everyone finds out Jonathan Robustelli: the golden boy, is gay!!! HAH"

"Jonathan...I should just.."
And Sherwin began to leave but I grabbed him by the wrist just in time and held him next to me while I handled this beast people call the most popular girl in school.

"Plus Jonny, I have cold hard proof!"
Taylor pulled out some Polaroid pictures from a bag and I turned pale and so did Sherwin"

"December 17 th, 5:30, the classrooms were empty and everyone had gone home, except the photography club, I didn't think you had it in you Jonathan, I mean you never kissed me, like that in an empty classroom."
And ironically me and Sherwin were now beet red.
