"You sure you're going to be alright?" Benny asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Oh? Uh, yeah. That-that was nothing I'm fine." Juniper bit the inside of her lip.
"You know you can talk to me right?" Benny asked, "It's just I know that you agree with Ethan because he's right most of the time, but it's like, you always agree with Ethan, never with me. You always tell him everything, not me. You go to Ethan, not me."
"It's-it's complicated, Benny." Juniper let out a sigh.
"Okay? That doesn't mean I can't try to help. I'm here for you, Junie. Always. No matter what. Do you not see that I just risked my life to save you?" He asked, irritation clear in his voice.
Benny wasn't meaning to get aggressive, he's just been thinking about these things all night, despite them save their friend from the vampires.
"I never said you had to.." Juniper whispered, "Look, I know it seems like I don't tell you anything. Maybe I don't tell you as much as I want to but it's really complicated okay? And that doesn't mean you can use your saving me as an excuse for me to talk to you."
"Seriously, Juniper?" Benny asked, "I'm just trying to care about you! I'm trying to be here for you. I'm trying to be the best boy- best friend that I can be."
Juniper's eyes widened. Did he almost say boyfriend? No, he couldn't have. He literally flirts with every girl he sees.
"Benny I understand that. I get it, okay? There are just certain things you can't know, at least right now. If you were really trying to be the best friend you could be, you would notice I don't like it when you flirt with every single girl you see. You'd notice that it's unfair when I have issues you find a way to get distracted and flirt with a girl or fawn over Erica!" Juniper said, "I'm just- I need a break."
"Fine, take a stupid break from being my friend. All night I sat there trying to save you with you being so rude toward me, I don't deserve this. I literally saw you crying to Ethan, but can't tell me your problems. Apparently, I'm not good enough for you. Goodnight, Juniper." Benny turned, walking away from her porch.
"No, wait, Benny!" Juniper called, but Benny just shook his head as he continued to walk across the street.
Tears fell from Juniper's eyes as she watched him angrily walked inside his house, not even glancing back at her. "Benny..." She whispered.
Juniper heard the front door behind her open, and wiped her tears quickly as she turned to see Frankie standing there, a smug look on her face.
"Boy problems?" She asked, her arms crossed against her chest.
"Shut up, Frankie." Juniper mumbled, pushing past the girl.
Frankie was always there to continue to make Juniper's day worse. She was always there eavesdrop on Juniper's conversations, to make fun of her because she'll never get the boy of her dreams.
