"Thank you, so much." Sarah told Juniper, holding her hands in hers.

"You're welcome. Jesse was kind of a dick." Juniper smiled, taking her hands from Sarah's.

Nothing against Sarah, the only person she's even seemingly comfortable with being affectionate was Benny, but she definitely didn't plan on being nice to him anytime soon. He really hurt her, whether she'd admit it out loud or not.

"Language, Juniper." Aspen scolded, walking up to the two girls.

Juniper lightly scoffed, but didn't say anything. It was obvious that Aspen didn't curse, or like it when other people curse, but when Juniper says it she just can't control it.

"Juniper, honey!" Benny's grandma spoke from the doorway, getting the young girls attention. She turned, and smiled as she walked over to the older woman.

"Did you experience any abilities?" She asked as soon as Juniper got up to her, and Juniper nodded.

"I was holding Jesse and I turned some pages by myself." Juniper shrugged. "But, I don't understand. Jesse bit me, why am I okay?"

"Hmm, come here." She spoke, and Juniper walked slightly closer to the woman. She checked out the bite marks, running her fingers over them lightly.

"Looks like they've already healed themselves, and you say nothing's happened to you?" Benny's grandma asked.

"I don't think so. I feel the same." Juniper replied.

"Well, you have two dots from the marks, but they're completely healed other than that. It looks like you're immune, hon." She smiled at the teen. "You should go get some rest, you've been through a lot and you look tired."

"Alright, thank you." Juniper told her, before quickly turning and making her way across the street.

Aspen had already made her way over due to feeling gross and wanting to shower, and it looked as if Ethan was talking to Sarah before she left and Benny was still recovering from getting punched.

"Junie, wait!" Benny called, but Juniper ignored the boy and continued walking.

Although Benny was in a lot of pain he stood up from his spot, running to catch up to the girl. He grabbed her wrist, quickly turning him toward her.

"What's your problem, Junie? What did I do?" Benny asked, his eyes slightly narrowed due to the giant headache he had.

"My problem?" Juniper scoffed. "Why don't you figure it out yourself and then come back to me." She snatched her wrist away from Benny's grip, turning and finishing the short walk to her house.

The moment she got inside, she saw Frankie sitting on the couch. She hadn't muttered a word to the younger girl, but stopped when she said something to the heartbroken one.

"I don't see why he likes you."

"He doesn't. Don't worry." Juniper mumbled, not looking back at Frankie.
