The next day came quicker than Juniper wanted to. She hardly slept that night, which was weird because she's stayed at Ethan's house before and has never had that much trouble sleeping. Ethan's bed was super comfortable, so it's not like she was just too uncomfortable to sleep, her thoughts were just getting the best of her.

It felt as if the moment she fell asleep, not even ten minutes later Ethan's alarm went off, signaling that they needed to get up and get ready for school. Juniper sat up in Ethan's bed, as Ethan got up and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and use the restroom.

She took a couple of moments to get used to the light, and rubbed her eyes as she thought about everything that happened the night before. It all happened so quickly, although she spent half the night wondering how it all happened so quickly, she still couldn't grasp it.

Her and Ethan kissed.

Sure, Ethan was right, and had convinced her not to feel too bad about it, but the kiss was replaying in her head over and over again. She'd never kissed anyone before Ethan, and was about 99% sure that Ethan hadn't kissed anyone before her.

Neither of them really knew what they were doing, so why did they both have the impulse to just lean in and kiss each other without feeling any romantic feelings toward each other?

Shaking her head, Juniper decided she might as well get up and get ready for the day. She grabbed some clothes out of her suitcase and once Ethan was done in the bathroom went in herself, brushing her teeth and deciding to take a shower to clean up the cuts a bit and hopefully make herself feel better.

Once she finished showering she got dressed in a long sleeved shirt and skinny jeans, that had a few holes in them. She used the hair dryer that was in the bathroom and dried her hair, brushing it and letting the loose curls settle on her shoulders. She put in a headband to make it look like she actually tried with her hair, before going and grabbing her makeup bag out of the suitcase and walking back into the bathroom.

She did a simple makeup look, just some eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss to hopefully take the attention away from the healing cuts and bruises on her face.

There was only a bruise on her cheek and forehead, the forehead one darker than her cheek. She didn't own any concealer whatsoever, so she had no way of covering it up.

After walking back into Ethan's room and putting on some deodorant and perfume, slipping her shoes on and grabbing her phone off of the charger along with her backpack she noticed Ethan had been ready a few minutes earlier than her.

"My mom made breakfast I think, so why don't we go down and grab some of that before leaving?" Ethan asked Juniper, not even bringing up everything that happened the night before.

Juniper just nodded and followed the boy downstairs, where Jane was sat at the table eating a bowl of cereal.

"I made bacon and eggs if you guys want some." Ethan's mom pointed to two plates sitting on either side of Jane, and Juniper and Ethan both sat down and began to quickly eat so they'd make it to the bus stop on time.
