That evening, Ethan began to get ready for the 'oh-so-important' dinner that was going to happen. His mother was forcing him to look nice, so he's got a nice button up shirt with a vest over it. Ethan secretly thought it made him look smarter than he already was, but he'd never tell anyone that.
He walked into the kitchen, his eyes widening to see none other than Sarah standing there, helping get everything ready for the dinner. "Sarah," He awkwardly said, straightening his clothes out. "What are you doing here?"
Of course he was all flustered as he talked to her, but he was very conflicted of his feelings. He thought he was liking Sarah, but then again he doesn't know her well enough to full like her, and whenever he's around Juniper he gets the same way. He's confused between both girls, but Sarah's yet to show any type of interest in him, while Juniper's clearly hung up on Benny, despite the fact they've shared a kiss before.
He just decided to push all of those feelings away, deciding a different day to sort them out would work considering they're in the middle of trying to get rid of undead animals.
Meanwhile, next door Benny and Juniper stood, getting ready to head over to Ethan's house. Juniper was nervous, as this was one of the first times in a while that Benny and her have been alone, especially with all that's happened lately. She wanted to talk to him, desperately, but she knew that nothing good would come out of it right now and she too, would have to push her feelings to the side because now just isn't the right time.
"I still can't believe I missed all that," Benny mumbled, talking to Juniper about her father as they got ready. He's been repeating that same phrase for about an hour now, and Juniper's had just about enough.
"I get it, Benny. It's fine, I'm not going to forgive you because you constantly do things like this, but I will tell you to forget about it because I wasn't expecting anything less of you." Benny's head snapped up to the short brunette's as she said those words, and she realized how it sounded. "N-not meaning to be rude or anything, Ben, but you hardly ever pay attention to me anymore so I don't expect you to always know everything that goes on in my life. You shouldn't."
"Right," He breathed out, not wanting to say something stupid like he normally does, and start an argument with a girl. After all, she was right, and that makes another reason not to argue about it because he knew he'd be wrong, and he didn't want to make her feel even worse for saying the truth in the first place.
"Okay, let's get over to Ethan's before it's too late," Benny decided to change the subject, handing as many water guns filled with the antidote in them as he could. She obliged, not wanting to make anything else awkward before they exited his house and ran next door, taking in the back way into the kitchen to avoid being seen by the special guests at the Morgan's household.
They walked in to see Sarah and Ethan talking, Juniper confused by seeing Sarah - who wasn't supposed to be working - then trying not to snort at the fact that Ethan stood in front of her in a sweater vest. "Nice vest," She commented, causing the boy's face to turn a bright pink.
