-----

-Tuesday, 12pm-

Louis sighed heavily, adjusting his sunglasses and the sunlight got in his eyes. "Dude, just get out of the car."

"You'll pry this car from my cold dead claws." Violet growled.

"Violet."

"Louis." She challenged back.

"Look, if you start to feel like you might wolf out, then call me."

Violet paused, going over the possibilities if she DID wolf out. "........You'll have your phone on?" She questioned skeptically.

Louis was known in the friend group as the 'if-you-call-me-I-probably-won't-answer' person.

"Yes."

"And you'll answer if I call?"

"Dude, it'll be fine. Just go. And remember to breath if you get nervous."

Violet reluctantly unbuckled her seat belt, stepping out of the car and slamming the door.

"Hey, don't slam the door!" Louis yelled, his voice muffled.

Violet smirked, shrugging. "Oops."

Louis grinned, driving off but not before letting down the passenger side window and yelling "Go get 'em, tiger!"

Violet took a deep, calming breath and walked into the coffee shop. She spotted Clementine in a secluded corner, waiting on her phone. The bell on the door, which signalled when someone entered the café, caught Clem's attention. Her face lit up with a smile before she excitedly ambled over to Violet.

"Hey, Vi!" Clementine greeted, pulling the blonde into a warm hug.

"Hi...." Violet trailed off as the scent of something sweet hit her nose. It was vanilla, and it was coming from Clementine. She inhaled, letting the scent overtake her senses. "You smell good.."

"What?"

"Shit did I say that out loud?"  Violet panicked internally.

"Oh..uh..I said I like your hat." She said hastily, gesturing to the dirty worn hat on Clementine's head.

Clementine subconsciously touched the rim of the baseball cap. "Oh, thanks." She said, finishing her sentence with a giggle. Violet felt her heart melt as Clem's laugh filled her ears.

"..........I like your laugh." Violet said softly, earning a shy smile from Clem.

"I don't think anyone has said that to me before..."

"Well, people should say it more often." Violet responded, a soft chuckle erupting from both girls.

They ordered coffee, and chatted for a while. Violet found that Clementine was really easy to talk to. She listened, and let you finish what you were saying before she said anything. It was going great. Better than she expected, if she was being honestly with herself.

That's when her head started to hurt. A lot. The chatter that was happening in the small shop became a roar, drowning out her senses. Her sense of smell became stronger. The smell of coffee and became overwhelming, not helping Violet's migraine. Spots dotted her vision. Her fight or flight response kicked into overdrive, even though there was no danger anywhere in sight. Colors around her became more vibrant. Her hearing became sharper. She could pick out people's heartbeats, beating softly like drums. Then she heard her's. That's when she started to panic.
