Violet fell deeper into Clementine's embrace, closing her eyes and burying her head in the brunette's chest. Clem would plant small kisses on the light pink scars that lined Violet's eyes and whisper sweet nothings in her ears. the sunlight that filled the room made her feel light and safe.

or at least, she thought it was sunlight.

what color was the sun again? or the sky? or the leaves in autumn? she couldn't remember.

"hey, Clem?"

"yes, my love?" 

"what does blue look like? blue was my favorite color."

Clementine raised an eyebrow. "you don't remember any colors?"

Violet scoffed playfully. "no, that's why i'm asking." exasperation dripped in her tone, causing Clementine to grin slightly. losing her eyesight made Violet no less witty nor sarcastic.

"blue is the color of the sky."

Violet chuckled quietly. "you can't describe a color with another color, dummy."

Clementine thought harder, deciding to tie an emotion with the color. "blue is....calming and serene. imagine sitting in an open field or drinking coffee in the morning or-"

"-right now?" Violet interrupted, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

Clementine grinned, planting a soft kiss on Violet's forehead. "yeah. right now'll do."

"okay....now do....yellow."

"that ones easy; happy. blissful. like...hanging out with friends or-"

Violet laughed, cutting her off. "hanging out with our friends is more stressful than anything."

"yeah, i guess you're right about that." Clementine agreed, a small chuckle escaping her lips.

Violet continued asking questions, each one seemingly increasing in difficulty. Clementine had to think outside the box, finding new ways to describe things. but as long as she could spend time with Violet, she could answer questions all day.

"what about green?"

once she asked , Violet could almost feel Clementine's spirits drop low. she looked up, grayed-out eyes meeting honey gold. "what's wrong?"

Clementine smiled sadly. "i miss the green in your eyes." she almost whispered.

"......honey gold."

"what?"

Violet pecked her on the lips, eyebrow raised. "you really think i'd let myself forget what color your eyes are? not in a million years."

Clementine's heart melted, softly sighing. she kissed all over Violet's face, saying a word between every peck. "you. are. so. cute."

small giggles erupted from Violet as she squirmed, trying to get away from the soft onslaught. "Clem, stooooop~"

"i love you." Clementine said, resting her chin on the top of Violet's head.

"i love you, too."

i should sleep but no i had a nightmare (;~;)
