) chapter 16. (
THE sight from his window was beautiful as he gazes over the sea. A sea he will soon cross, back to his homeland. Back to Westeros to claim the throne that is his.. and the sister that is his. The prince balls his fist as he thinks of her. It has been years since he last saw her.He remembers first seeing his little sister. The servant took him from his lessons in High Valyria, smiling from ear to ear. The young prince had asked what had happened and the servant was happy to announce to him that his mother was in the birthing process. Viserys walked after the servant and was placed on a bench outside of the Queen's chambers next to his brother Rhaegar, who was holding his daughter Rhaenys.
He was told to stay away from his brother's children by his father, so he was a little hesitant. Rhaegar seemed worried and was constantly tapping his foot on the floor. The noise irritated the young prince, but he did not say anything. The tension grew even thicker when their father arrived, wanting to see the brother or sister his mother was bearing.
Prince Viserys remembers when the door of his mother's chambers opened and Lady Alerie asked them to come inside. Rhaegar placed Rhaenys in the arms of a maid with the orders to bring her back to his wife, then grabbed his shoulder and the three men walk inside the room.
He saw his mother laying beneath the blankets, feeding a naked babe from her bossom. His purple eyes were drawn to the babe and he walked forward with his brother. When his father made nasty comments about his sister, he was extremely mad. Once he left he was aching to feel the pale, soft skin of his baby sister against his. He made attempts to hold her, but was stopped by Rhaegar.
Viserys smirks at another memory of just a few weeks later. He was summoned by his father to hear him out about his studies. Their conversation came back to his sister Laeherys, making it the perfect bridge for his request. "Father.. Rhaegar is married already, yet not to our sister. Isn't that.. disgraceful," he asked innocently, though he knew where this would go.
"It is, son of mine. Your mother was.. late at birthing a daughter for us. If I had a choice not to marry my heir off to some Dornish whore, I would have." His King-father was obviously angry, and Viserys knew it was his time.
"But can't I marry Laeherys once she comes of age? Then at least one of the Targaryen men will keep the bloodline pure.." His father smirks and his eyes brighten. "Excellent, my son. You shall find your wife in your sister, I promise you."
That had been more than fourteen years ago. She was supposed to be his already, but he has to wait.
Wait until that savage's whore has birthed that bastard so the savage lord gives him his army. Then he would have the Dothraki, the dragons his sister 'birthed' in a massive fire of that sheep people village the Dothraki raided and the Unsullied she got through tricks, under his command.
Viserys was done with waiting, especially when he could not do anything in the meanwhile except sitting around in this house in Pentos. He wants his throne, his crown and his sister-wife.. quickly.
"Your Grace?"
The door to his bedchambers open and a maid walks in, holding a raven beneath her arm and two rolls in her hand. Viserys turns on his heels and narrows his lilac eyes at the young girl of only twelve. She curtsies for him and shows him the parchment rolls.
"I have a letter from Lady Alerie of Houses Tyrell and Hightower, regarding your sister Laeherys, my King. I also have one from-," she says, holding her head down. The Dragon storms up to her and rips the parchment from her hand, making the girl flinch. He breaks the sigil and begins reading quickly.
His eyes run over the in ink written words as his temper rises. The Dragon awoke. "HOW DARES HE," Viserys screams out. He throws the parchment away. The maid lets out a surprised gasp when he throws over a heavy table, filled with pieces of parchment.
"HE DARES TOUCHING MY SISTER, MAKING HER HIS WIFE AND HIS QUEEN! SHE. IS MINE!" He slams his fists against the wall in anger. His face was even turning red and the maid quickly escapes from the room.
Viserys tries to control his breathing and that was when he notices the other parchment roll that the girl dropped on the floor in her hurry to get out. Hoping it was no more bad news, he breaks the sigil and begins reading.
" Khaleesi Daenerys bore the Khal's son, Rhaego.
They are heading for Pentos.
There we will hire ships and sail for Westeros.
Your reign shall begin, my prince.
Ser Jorah Mormont of Bear Island. "A smirk begins to rise on his face. So his sister has done her duty.. and now it was time. It was the moment he has waited for for many years and on the right moment.
Viserys mutters to himself with glad. "You better not marry and bed that stag, little dragoness, for you are mine and mine alone." He puts the table back up and begins writing a letter to Lady Alerie, his sister's caretaker. She has to bring Laeherys safely to Sunspear, as promised by Prince Oberyn and his paramour, so he could begin his war against the Usurper.
His beauty, his sister-wife, his children's future mother. His. And let that Baratheon 'Boy King' be damned if he took her from him.
