) chapter 21. (
THE leather armor was secured around his torso by his paramour, while the Red Viper of Dorne thinks about the trial in combat that awaits him soon. His revenge against the Mountain, the man who murdered his dear sister Elia.
He has been waiting for so many years to have it. It was not as if he likes Lord Tyrion that much to put his life on the line. In fact, the 'Little Lord' irritated him a little. But if this was his way for the Mountain's downfall, then so be it.
Ellaria Sand tightens the last leather strap around his body and pecks his neck. "Return back to me, my little poisonous viper. I can not bear sleeping alone tonight," she murmurs against his olive toned skin. Oberyn chuckles and grabs his spear, dipped into venom, as he looks at his woman.
"Don't be a fool, Ella. Of course I'll come back. That Mountain will never survive the poison on my spear. My force is to be reckoned with. But, in the case he has the overhand on me and kill me, I want you to do something in my name," he tells her. Ellaria's brown eyes drill into his and she listens to whatever his wish may be.
Oberyn sighs and pulls a golden goblet and carafe filled with wine closer to him and takes a drink. "I want you to take care of the Targaryen princess and her brother and sister. Doran knows of what is going on and will make sure to keep Myrcella inside Sunspear. When I'm gone, I want you to send our Sand Snakes to take Laeherys there."
"You want to give all up for that stupid little girl? She may be a princess and sister of Rhaegar, but she holds no true power. In fact, she seems rather clueless, daft and naive to me," Ellaria snaps, taking the goblet from Oberyn with obvious anger. He narrows his eyes at her and takes his cup back without much difficulty.
"If you love me you will do it. So, do you love me Ella?" Ellaria pouts and crosses her arms. She was angry that he turned her resistance to 'not loving him'. She loves him way too much for her own good. He knows that just as well as she does.
"I do.. I will send our Sand Snakes to fetch Laeherys during trial in combat, I promise." Oberyn smiles and pecks her forehead. "Thank you, my love. Now let's kill a Clegane."

LAEHERYS was forbidden of going to the trial in combat. It was a decision of Tommen himself, who did not want his wife to get upset over the murder of either Prince Oberyn or the Mountain. He himself, of course, did attend the trial, as he was the one who 'ordered' it. It truly was Lord Tywin who did though, but Laeherys knew it was hopeless to explain to Tommen how people walked over him like a doormat.
He would never see the bad in someone, and sometimes Laeherys wishes that he would. The young Queen grabs a hair brush and begins brushing, trying to calm her nerves. If Oberyn failed, Lord Tyrion would be executed. Lord Tywin will have his way.
She walks towards the window, trying to get a glimpse of what was going on. What she didn't hear was the guards' throats being slit, the gurgling of their blood in their mouths.. and the door opening. It was too late to notice when a blade, smeared with blood, presses against the pale skin of her neck.
Laeherys gasps and drops the brush. A soft chuckle fills her ear. "We meet once again, Queen Laella, or may I say.. Laeherys?" She cries out when she recognises his voice. It was Olyvar and he was going to take her. To where, she did not know, but she had a feeling that Lord Baelish was involved.
