The storm before the calm

"I don't understand, what happened to her?" I gaped at the doctor who was taking care of Summer.

No one knows how to explain what happened to her. She had to go into surgery and thank god it was successful. Right now she's just sleeping, I called her parents and my own and they'll be down here by tomorrow night. I just want answers. The teacher guy was right behind me and wanted to know what was going down as well.

Is this guy seriously a teacher though? He's way too handsome for his own dam good and way too close to Summer for my liking.

The doctor adjusted her glasses.

"Well, there was a tiny tiny hole that had suddenly appeared in her heart. She seems like a perfectly healthy girl and I don't know what could have cause such a thing. But thanks to the surgery we closed it up quickly and regulated her breathing. She will be awake by tomorrow."

That relieved my nerves a bit. I thought maybe it was the stress of the misunderstanding and it made me feel all the more terrible.

I should have seen how much of a sneaky bitch Katrina was from the start and believed my girl when she said something was off about her. I've never thought of home wreckers, but now I can tell how devious they can be.

"There's only one thing that would have an answer but its just a silly tale that people come and go with.

Tell me, you are Summers lover correct?"

"Yes Ma'am" She nods

"Did you and her get into..any disagreements lately?" My heart sank lower as I breathed out and shifted awkwardly "Something like that." The guy behind me scoffed and I turned to him.

"What the hell is your problem man!? Why are you even still here? You've been bullshitting non stop with me so just fuck off! You've done enough." I don't care if he's a teacher! He was disrespecting me first. The doctor held me back and I was greatful cause I was about to launch punch this guy.

"Calm down, Summer is still sleeping and you'll disturb her rest." The doc said.

He smirked.

"Always acting childish. Because that's what you are, a child. Out in the world not knowing what real love is. I'm here because one of my students has fallen ill to a very unfaithful lover."

My eyes widened at the accusation. How the hell did he know about our business?

"I never cheated on Summer. It was a misunderstanding you asshole..." I sneered and he shrugged his shoulders as if my reasoning did nothing to affect his judgment at hand.

The doctor butted in before I could wrap my hands around his neck.

"So that's it huh? Adultery." The doctor sounded surprised

"No, no miss, I didn't. I swear I wouldn't do that to her. Never." I said sincerely, betraying Summer is the biggest X mark on my list. I made a promise, when I first asked her to be my girlfriend under the Season Tree.

"Well Summer seemed to think so because I have a diagnosis for the hole."

"What is it? Disease? Inflammation?"

The doctor shook her head with a sad smile. "No Sweetheart." She patted my shoulder.

"Heartbreak."

I blinked my eyes. The light was seriously killing my vision. There was a beeping noise that needed to get shut tha fuck down.

"W..what the hell?" I say raspy. My head freaking hurts, I look around the spinning white room..why am I in a spinning white room?
