The Nightmare

          "Danielle no! No no!" Lilly sobbed in Terror as I turned to throw up.

"Guys Come on!" I snapped swinging down the axe on the wire. I pulled Mikey up to his feet and led them to the van. That woman was following right behind. I ran ahead into the drivers side to start up the car, and see if it worked. "Keys, Keys..." I whispered desperately searching for them everywhere. ."Fuck!" I cursed punching the steering wheel.

"What's going on?" Lilly panted weakly as Mikey helped her into the back

"Keys aren't here." I gulped getting off. "But I know where they might be..." I quickly shuffled through the mud and making my way to where Fransisco's body lay.

"Sam!" Mikey called out. "Come back!" I continued until I reached the tree and shuffled around. The smell was unbearable, his body was decomposing as the insects were eating his flesh. I held my breath and searched his pockets. Bingo. I clenched the car Keys in my fist when Fransisco's arm snatched my wrist tight. I screamed trying to pull my hand back when the ground beneath me started to make me sink.

"Mikey!" I called out yanking my hand back. I began to run back but the ground pulled me deeper down with each step. I screamed when I had to pull myself up from being waist high in the mud.

"Come on Sam your almost there!" Mikey shouted stretching his hand out toward me. I kept crawling and sinking until I looked up at Mikey.

"Mikey! Watch out!" I screamed out seeing Danielle's torso come alive choking out Mikey. "L-Lilly!" I screamed choking in the mud that was swallowing me whole.  I watched as Mikey was being choked by the hands of Danielle as he gasped for air. I crawled closer to Mikey and was about to reach the axe when Danielles head bit my leg. I screamed and sat up kicking at Danielle's possessed bloody head as Mikey was nearing his final breath."Get off me, bitch!" Her teeth were hinged onto my leg as I kicked at her as I reached for the axe again. But it wasn't there any more. I heard Lilly scream and swung the axe down onto Danielle's torso liberating Mikey from her grasp. She turned to me and swiped down into Danielles head, an inch away from my leg.

"I never did like her anyway..." Lilly panted as I quickly got up to help Mikey.

"Come on, lets get out of here!" I gulped helping Mikey to his feet and into the van. I got into the drivers seat and fumbled with the keys before starting it up, immediately hitting the gas.

"Sam!" Lilly screamed seeing up ahead the woman in white. I didn't stop and kept on driving and once we got close...she vanished.
      
          I took a huge sigh of relief as I drove off the trail and on to a paved road at last. As I drove, I tried moving my arm, but I couldn't feel it.

"Ngh..." I groaned resting my arm on my lap.

"Sam, your arm it's-"

"Fucked." I sighed continuing to drive and ignoring an itch in my eye.

"Its turning black." She gulped as Mikey coughed in the back.

"Jerry..." He croaked, his voice straining to speak. "This doesn't...feel real." I was beginning to tear up but my eyes were beginning to burn and itch more.

"How much more till the city?" I choked out closing my eyes for a second.

"Not far..." Mikey coughed. My eyes began to sting more and more. "Maybe I should-"

"I can do it!" I snapped turning on the car light. "Its just dirt in my eyes." I turned the rear view mirror and my eyes were bloodshot and I had a small cut near my iris. "Just dirt..." I lied turning the light off.

"We're safe." Lilly gulped. "That's all that matters." I nodded feeling my eyes go incredibly dry and itchy as I drove. The road lights were too much for me to handle.

"Sam are-" Lilly turned.

"I said I'm fine!" I shouted quickly rubbing my eyes with my hand and continuing to drive.

"Sam Stop!" Lilly said taking over the wheel as I rubbed my eyes. I couldn't take it anymore, with each streetlight my eyes were burning.

"Its burns....Its burns!" I groaned rubbing them intensely now.

"Sam what's wrong?!" Mikey choked.

"I don't know!" I groaned, the rubbing wasn't working. I was now physically scratching at my eyes. I screamed, I couldn't bear the burning.

"Sam! Get your foot off the gas!" Lilly shouted.

"Sam! Stop it!" Mikey tried stopping my hands but I couldn't stop, I had to scratch.

"Sam! Stop this car!" Lilly shouted as I tried to resume driving but my eyesight was blurry and still burning. I could see carlights ahead but I couldn't focus. "Sam slow down..."

"Leave me alone!" I screamed."I know what I'm doing!" My wiped at my eyes and I managed to see blood on my hand.

"Sam! Slow down, we're going way to fast!" Lilly shouted terrified. I began breathing rapidly and fearing for myself when turned the mirror to me. I saw her in the mirror and screamed.

"Sam watch out!" I heard Mikey scream trying to take over the wheel. When a bright light shined in front of us. Lilly braced herself and shielded her face. I slammed on the brakes and caused the van to flip over.

"Mikey...Lilly..." I choked out tasting blood. "Ngh...ahh!" I screamed, I couldn't move my neck and as I opened my I saw her. Uncomfortably close to my face, staring at me with her red eyes and a wicked smile. I shut my eyes tight and started praying.

"Our father in heaven..." I started repeating the prayer over and over.

"Your God cannot save you..." Her voice echoed. "He knows better than to do that..." She chuckled sending a terrifying chill throughout my body.
