The Nightmare

      I watched as a girl, about the same age as me, climbed up the stairs.

"Hey...what are-" I spoke but jumped back when she passed through me like a ghost.

"What the fuck." Mikey gulped pulling me back. She didn't see us either, She looked nervous.

"Hailey where-" A tall man with broad shoulders and tan skin climbed up. "What the fuck was that?"

"I don't know any of your friends!" She defended. "Why are we even here anyway."

"Because no one knows your pregnant with that...thing!"

"It's a baby, max!" She said sharply. "Its your-"

"Ha no not mine!" He said getting in her face and pushing her down into a chair.

"So why did we come here? And with your friends!" She gulped rubbing her eyes.

"Because..." He smiled. "Because we're- I mean you. Are gonna kill them." He handed her a dagger,"No one checks this cabin anyway. My grandpa doesn't even remember he built this shit."

"Are you insane!" She screeched standing up.

"Don't you love me?" He cooed pulling her closer. "We get away with this and we can take Jakes car and his cash and live like we should." Hailey looked conflicted for a second than turned to him and nodded.

"With the baby?" She whispered. He caressed her cheek and kissed her.

"Sure." The ghostly figures than disappeared and than slowly turned to night.

"Why would she even think of it..."Mikey whispered when we heard screaming in the back. Mikey and I rushed downstairs to see blood splattered everywhere. Hailey was dragging bodies out to the backyard around the bonfire.

"Good job Hailey!" Max applauded placing the last body to complete the circle. "Very very good." Hailey looked so traumatized, she was covered in blood with widened eyes.

"I-I did it..." She gulped splattered in the blood of her friends. Hailey took several steps and knelt down to take Jake's wallet, that had zero cash. "When-where's the money?" She gulped looking up at Max, who was chugging down a beer.

"Five...people." He chuckled throwing the bottle and letting it shatter next to Hailey. "We need a sixth." He smiled wickedly taking out a long dagger and walking closer to her.

"M-max what are you doing?!" She shook staying away.

"Sacrificing you, of course." He laughed. "I need a sixth person. Than I can have my riches. To myself. I never really wanted you. You were easy and you fell. Pathetic."

"Max! Y-you don't mean that. I love you-"

"Shut up!" He shouted swinging the blade across her eyes as she screamed in agony. He got taken a back watching as she desperately twisted and turned in pain. Suddenly...her water broke.

"Somebody help me!" She screamed holding at her stomach and eyes.

"Oh my god..." I gasped as Mikey held me tight as this unraveled before us. Max approached Hailey and kicked her in the stomach. She couldn't see to defend herself as pained incased her.

"Die!" Max screamed approaching her to finish her off when Hailey kicked at his ankles pushing him back and fsolling into the bonfire. "Bitch!" He screamed as the flames engulfed him as he reached for Haileys arm and burned her as well. Hailey pulled away leaving Max to burn to a crisp. A darkness darker than dark overtook the whole property as a shadow surrounded Hailey.
