Elise Layton 👠The week continues and I find myself becoming more and more agitated. Blake has completely ignored me all week and I walk into school on Friday morning to see him kissing the red-headed cheerleader.
I do what I used to do back home and pretend it has no effect on me.
In reality it begins to fuel a rage, that I didn't want to have while I was living here. I know I have no right to feel this way. I was the one who pushed him away. I just can't help it.
I get to my English class and take my usual seat beside Daisy. She twiddling her thumbs as if she's nervous.
"Did you see him?" She asks me, cautiously.
"Who?" I reply, trying to sound blasé.
"Blake, up against his locker with Whitney?" She screws up her nose in disgust. I'd laugh at how funny she looks but I'm too annoyed, at Blake and myself.
Thinking of the devil and he shall appear.
He strolls into the room with a grin and drops down in his seat.
"Yeah I saw them." I tell Daisy quietly and she fake gags. I chuckle lightly and Mrs Marshall walks in.
She tells us to take out our textbooks and begin to read in silence. The sound of papers rustling fills the room and everything goes quiet.
I see Mrs Marshall start to sift through a pile of paperwork on her desk and momentarily looks stressed. She stands, pushing her chair back and announces she'll be back in a few minutes.
As soon as she leaves the room everyone starts talking. That Eastman guy from the front of our class gets up from his seat and saunters over to my desk. He leans on it and smirks at me.
"Can I help you?" I ask him, putting my book down.
"Hi Elise, I'm having a party at my house tonight and I was wondering if you might want to come." I peek over my shoulder and see that Blake is watching us with a very serious expression.
"I'd love to." I tell him, flipping my hair over my shoulder and rolling my pencil over my bottom lip seductively.
"Alright, sexy, I'll get the address to you and I'll see you there." He smirks at me and there's a bang from beside me. Blake's stood up so fast that his chair's hit the ground, he picks up his bag and heads for the door.
He's going out as Mrs Marshall is coming back in and she shouts down the hall to him, "Blake Coleman! Come back here!"
I'm guessing he ignores her because she comes back in alone with a heavy sigh.
"What happened?" She asks, addressing all of us.
"Blake got jealous Mrs Marshall." Daisy announces and every student in the room turns to look at her. Probably surprised that she had the courage to speak. Then I see some of the girls give me nasty looks. I probably deserve those.
Eastman and the guy he's sitting next to begin to snicker and I start to feel bad. That's until I picture Blake's face stuck to Whitney's in the hallway.

I tell Daisy to ask her Mum if she can come over to my house for a sleepover and inform her that she's really going to be coming to her first party. She's nervous to ask but after phoning her Mum and pleading with her she finally gives in. I don't think I've seen her look so happy before.
I get into Jack's car and we fight over the radio until I win. 'High Hopes' by 'Panic! At the Disco' fills the air and I dance in my seat.
We stop at a set of traffic lights and I'm still wiggling around like a maniac. I look to the lane next to us and see a black Range Rover with tinted windows pull up along side us. The window slides down and Kai's in the drivers seat. He's holding the steering wheel with one hand and seems to be chuckling.
