Elise Layton 👠

I'm half excited and half terrified to go to school this morning. I'm with the schools quarterback and I have the school bad-boy chasing me like a psychopath. I'm ecstatic and scared in equal measure.

I get dressed into a black pencil skirt, white blouse, black kitten heel shoes and put my long hair up into a high ponytail. Once I've put a light layer of make-up on and packed my school bag I'm ready to go.

I walk into the kitchen and take an apple from the fruit bowl. I notice there's no sign of my Aunt Donna and Jack. He must have left for school already.

"Good morning, Elise." My Uncle says, in a very strange tone.

I frown at him and look around the room, robotically, as if it'll help me work out his issue.

"Good morning, Uncle Max." I reply and keep my face neutral.

"So are you still sticking to the story that you're not with the football teams quarterback?" He asks, squinting at me.

"Oh. Right. Yeah...we're together now." I nod at him slowly and watch his face break into a grin.

"Yesssss!" He shouts, fist pumping the air and I frown.

What is wrong with him?

Beeping comes from outside and I put my apple into my bag.

"That'll be him outside now, so I'm just going to...go." I point at the door and purse my lips.

"Oh, please let me just come out and say good morning to him." He rubs his hands together in excitement and it freaks me out.

"Okay, i'll meet you out there." I tell him and run ahead of him.

I dash through the front door and down the grey pathway.

"Why are you running that fast?" Blake asks, ducking down and talking to me through the passenger window.

"My Uncle Max is coming!" I exclaim.

"He's like, fan-girling over you or something." I cringe and he laughs.

My Uncle comes out of the house just as I open the passenger door and Blake gets out from the drivers seat.

"What are you doing?!" I hiss at him and he completely ignores me.

"Morning sir, it's good to see you again." Blake says, walking over to my Uncle and shaking his hand.

"Morning son. It's good to see you too. How's your football season going so far?"

"It's going really well, sir. I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am, for not asking for your permission to date your niece. I feel really bad about that."

What is talking about?

"Blake, stop sucking up and get in the damn car!" I shout to him and he glares at me.

"You're more than welcome to date Elise. Good luck." He tells Blake and my jaw drops.

"I'm not going to forget that any time soon Uncle Max!" I call to him and he chuckles.

My Uncle pats Blake on the back and he climbs into the car.

"What was that?" I ask him, pointing to my Uncle and scowling.

"That was me making sure we get future sleep overs whenever we want." He tells me with a wink.

I think it over as I buckle my seatbelt and then I smirk.

"Good thinking, Coleman." I nod in appreciation and he starts the engine.

"So why are you dressed as a sexy teacher today?" He asks, indicating to turn onto the street.
