I'm having the worst week ever and I can't believe how dumb I've been.
Why did I ever think it was a good idea to kiss Whitney to make Elise jealous?

It's all backfired in my face.

The annoying girl won't leave me alone. She even wants to wear my jersey to the game against West Lake tomorrow night. I don't ever want to see another girl wearing my jersey. Elise owns it...she just doesn't know it yet.

It's been the week from hell.

I'm being absolutely annihilated by the guys on my team at practice every day. They're making comments like, when am I going to let Whitney pop my cherry. That sh*t isn't funny. I'm the damn quarterback and I've lost all their respect.

I would never have told them the truth before, but I wanted Elise to know. My defences are completely down around her.

I take a seat in a chair in Eastman's garden and loads of others are gathering around. People start to pull up chairs and some sit down on the neatly mowed lawn.

Whitney walks over swaying her hips in an attempt to look sexy and she fails miserably. She's nothing like Elise. Elise is naturally stunning. Every movement she makes causes you to stare at her in awe. She's beautiful and I'm so desperate to be able to call her mine.

Whitney takes a seat next to me and I feel like moving away. She's actually starting to creep me out and she kisses like a goldfish. I cringe internally.

I watch Elise sit down across from me between Kai and Daisy. She's completely wasted, flirting with Kai and I get an urge to rip his head off. I feel like going all cave-man. I want to walk over there, pick her up over my shoulder and take her home with me.

I sip on the beer in my hand and wait for this dumb game to get started. After the last time, I should really just leave, but I'm only here still to keep an eye on Elise.

"Okay, so Eastman gets to start because it's his house." Vince declares and Jayden Eastman stands up from his seat.

"Elise, truth or dare?" He asks and I'm already pis*ed that he chose her. Of course he would. It's funny though because Kai looks angry too.

"Truth." She says, swaying in her seat.

"What's the worst thing you've ever done?" He looks so smug today and I'm thinking of ways to get back at him at football practice.

"Drug dealing." She answers, casually.

What the hell? Did she really just say drug dealing?

Kai's frowning at her, Jayden looks surprised and I hear some of the girls starting to whisper.

"Wow, alright then, now it's your turn Elise." Eastman says with wide eyes and sits back down.

Elise looks straight at me and I swear it seems like her drunken haze clears. She stops swaying and is completely still.

"Blake, truth or dare?" I focus in on her lips with every word she says and they're mesmerising.

"Truth." I reply, swallowing hard.

"Is Whitney your girlfriend?" She's completely serious and I swear I see panic cross her features.

"No." I say with determination.

Whitney jumps up beside me with her hand on her hip and her mouth agape like a fish. She scowls at me, slaps me across the face and staggers away in her ridiculously high heels.

There's a chorus of 'ohhhhh's' and I put my hand to my cheek.

I see Elise mouth the word 'sorry' at me as I rub my sore face. That really stung but I know I deserved it.
