I couldn't understand him the first time due to his more than slight intoxication so he said, "Hello?" when I didn't answer.

"I heard you." I pulled the phone away from my ear to whisper to myself. Why? Why must you complicate my life you twat?I put the phone back to my face. "No, you don't. You're drunk and you don't mean it. So go back to your party. I'm going back to sleep." I heard him start to say something else so I just hung up and put the phone on silent and tried to fall back asleep. My mind said: I want to sleep. My body said: Fuck you.

I love you? I LOVE YOU? Each time I said it over and over again in my head the more I thought about all the possible reasons he could have said it.

Reason 1: Corinna Kopf walked by (Likely)

Reason 2: He was giddy from winning and loves everything.

Reason 3: I cut him off before he said "like a sister"

Reason 4: He doesn't know what he's fucking talking about and he's a tool. (Ding Ding Ding we have a winner)

The next day when his mom left I went to class and later that night I hung out with Emma and Kim watching them try on dresses I couldn't fit into while I ate mediocre cheesecake. It was mediocre, but you bet your ass I ate the whole thing. After going to bed that night in an empty house that legitimately scared the shit out of me, I woke up the next morning to the front door opening and closing several times. Oh God this is how the haunting starts.

"Ciara?" Oh, it's just the ghost of douche-mas past. I got up and put pants on and looked in the mirror. Ew.

"Yes, I'm here," I said standing over the banister looking down at him in the foyer.

"You look like shit," he said laughing and starting to unpack.

"So I had a dream the other night that we talked the night of the awards." He was just staring at me like he had no clue what I was talking about. "Sometimes I mix up my dreams and reality so I was just wondering if it actually happened."

"I don't remember talking to you." Oh...

"Dream," I said and looked down at my hands. I'm not sure if it was a good thing or if it felt fucking terrible. A little bit of both. "So what does it feel like to win a big youtube award?"

"Here, see for yourself," he said pulling out the little man holding a camera from his bag. "And the winner of this years best rendition of a children's song...Ciara with Twinkle Twinkle." But I guess I'll play along...I ran down the stairs and grabbed it and ran back up like I was on a podium.

"I would like to thank all the mothers out there who voted, the gays and The Dolan Twins. To my sister, you never supported me. You get nothing," I said pretending to cry and waving. This thing was heavy...not many people other than famous people get to touch these things. I feel special as shit. "Can I keep it in my room?"

"No!" he said walking up to take it back. "I'm keeping it in my room but you can come in and visit it any time you want," he said winking. He was getting closer so I ran with it into my room as fast as I could trying to close the door behind me but he was stronger than me and pushing his way in. So I let go and took off into the best hiding spot: right on top of the bed with it underneath me. "You're going to break it," he said standing there with his arms folded across his chest.

"No I won't," I said with my face buried into the bed. He tried to pull me off of it but good luck bitch I eat like a linebacker and he's not as strong as he thinks he is. "Shit!" I said rolling over when he accidentally poked my sides.
