LaToya's P.O.V

This job is hell! Working with Emily was the worst punishment ever! She kept threatening to get me fired.

"LaToya!" She called out.

"What do you want?" I rolled my eyes.

"Two customers just came in, go attend to them." She filed her nails.

"Why? I attended to the last pair! Why can't you do it?" I questioned.

"It seems you want to be fired, huh? Mr Brooks would love to hear just how lazy you are!" She threatened, yet again.

"I wonder why and how you're still so childish after all these years." I retorted, before walking off to attend to the customers.

Later...

"Oh, LaToya! Customer!" She yelled.

"You haven't done anything today! I'm gonna report you to Mr Brooks!" I really got fed up of her blackmail.

"I think you're the one who needs to be reported!" Se yelled back at me. "Listen, Miss Fashionista, there's a hierarchy around here. I'm at the top and you're way at the bottom. You don't mess with me, because I run this place." She acted all snake-like.

"I would never respect a whore like you." I looked at her from her head to her toes.

"Don't go thinking that because you've worked with the Rayes' you have some dignity. Because, we all know you had to sleep with someone before you got that job!" That was when I really got angry and slapped her right across the face. She was dumbfounded, then she picked up a glass of champagne and spilled all over my hair. Now I smell like grapes!

A couple of customers had just come in. And I guessed I'd have to attend to them, because nobody else would do it.

They were both looking down at their phones. They looked very rich.

"Excuse me." I said politely. They both turned to me and I was so alarmed.

"LaToya?" Aaron asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I work here now." I looked down.

"LaToya. The office is a mess without you. Please come back." He begged.

"You insulted me and I have self respect, so my answer is no!" I crossed my arms.

"Please, LaToya. I'll pay you anything, just name your price!" He persisted.

"I want nothing from you." I tapped my foot on the ground impatiently.

"Please, I'll double your salary!" He started bargaining. Now you're talking.

"No." I still continued refusing.

"Triple, plus a promotion!" He called out and my ears perked up. That was a grear deal.

"Promise me something, sir." I asked.

"What is it?" He asked.

"You'll never yell at me ever again." Then I heard his friend stiffle a laugh.

"Fine! I won't." He said.

"Then, we have a deal!" I smiled.
