Yeah, you're right.

His words still tormented and tortured me after three days. I can't believe he actually agreed to what I said. I felt embarrassed and a little hurt, but I faked another smile and got on with the rest of the ride home.

Why should I care what he thinks? Why should I be worried about his opinion?

Because you can't deny that you have feelings for him.

I heaved a sigh and got up from my bed. It was time to get dressed for Aryanne's 21st birthday party. Luckily, I was invited on my own, so I didn't have to go with Aaron.

I wished that night had never happened! Going to work the past few days has been weird for me, but of course, for him nothing changed.

I got dressed in a royal blue V-neck, spaghetti-strap flowy dress, that was short in the front and long at the back with a gold belt and champagne gold gladiator sandals.

I conference called Jynelle, Flora, Kelli and Freedah, because we were all going together in Flora's black Mercedes Benz. I waited for them for 10 minutes in front of the closest Starbucks, after having a Unicorn Frappuccino.

I didn't want to tell them about what happened on the day of Grandpa Jacé's birthday, so I didn't.

As soon as we stepped foot into the elegant hall of the classy events center, I spotted Aaron looking strikingly handsome in a black tailored suit. His hair was gelled and neatly combed on his head. He also had that signature smirk on his face. He was talking to Lando and Rissa and I instantly felt a pang of jealousy. After everything he said about her, he still stood there talking to her!

We got a table and chatted about random things, before Aryanne finally went over to us.
"Ari! Happy birthday, sweetie!" Flora hugged her and gave her an air kiss.

"Happy birthday, Aryanne!" The rest of us chorused and she smiled.

"Thanks, sugarpies." She hugged each of us. "I'm sorry you guys have been here since. So many guests were asking me about myself and sending me birthday wishes. To be honest, this was the least stressful birthday I've ever celebrated. Lando took care of every single detail." She sat down and played with her loose brown locks.

"You love him so much, right?" I asked.

"Yeah. With all of my heart. He's my soulmate and I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect." She stared at Lando dreamily. Their love was the most amazing thing ever.

"Now I wish I had a Prince Charming!" I joked, sipping on my margarita.

"You do." Jynelle glanced over at Aaron, who was still so engrossed in conversation with Lando and Rissa. What were they talking about? "You just refuse to realize it." She continued.

I rolled my eyes and heaved a sigh. "Here we go again." I complained.

"You're so oblivious to true love, LT." Kelli said, rolling her eyes.

"Exactly. If I know anything about Aaron, it's that he loves you. A lot." Freedah smiled sweetly and she had a little twinkle in her eye. "Let me tell you a story."

"Go ahead." I nodded.

"There were two people, a man and a lady. The man loved his business and was ready to work very hard to ensure it rises to the top of the business enterprise list. The woman was adventrous and loved to party and travel. She lived life to the fullest. They met and were both very stubborn to each other. They refused to admit that they fell in love. They were even more oblivious than you and Aaron. Wanna know how they're doing now?" She narrated.
