LaToya's P.O.V

I think love isn't cute. It's more of lust.

Aaron's word were still ringing in my head 30 minutes later.

So he didn't love anyone...

How emotionless!

Anyways, it's none of my business. Not my problem. It doesn't even affect or change my life, so I don't care.

That's your problem, Aaron Rayes...

I conference called Kelli and Jynelle to come over to my house, which they agreed to do.

***Ten minutes later***

"I still don't understand why Aaron would kiss me." I sighed, hugging my blue and gold chevron-patterned throw pillow.

"Easy. He loves you." Kelli said and I threw my pillow at her.

"No, he doesn't. He said love is lust." I reminded her. "But, the bigger question is why I felt so electrified." I sighed.

Kelli opened her mouth to speak, but Jynelle covered her mouth with her hand. "Don't bother. I think I'll take this one." She told her. "Girl, you're in love with Aaron."

"I am not!" I raised my voice at them, but they so blatantly ignored me.

"I think they deserve to have a published romance novel. In Love with my Boss or In Love with my Personal Assistant." Kelli giggled.

"I think His Cinderella would be the perfect story name for them." Jynelle said.

"Stop it! We are not in love!" I yelled.

"She's in denial." Kelli looked at Jynelle.

"Yup. And it's severe. She's totally oblivious to the fact that she's in love." Jynelle said.

"No, I am not!" I said.

"She's even blushing." Kelli said.

"Lies!" I yelled.

"Wow. This is worse than I thought." Jynelle looked at Kelli again.

"You talk about me like I'm not in the room." I was getting really frustrated.

"LaToya. Repeat after me. Say, 'I am in love with Aaron.'" Kelli was saying. She was really getting on my nerves.

"I am not in love with him!" I said.

"Oh, please. Miss me with the bullshit." Jynelle waved me off.

"LaToya?" My mom knocked on the door and came in. "There's a package that was just delivered for you."

"Me?" I asked, taking the lilies in her hands, while she was smiling and nodding. I opened the small card at the side and read it aloud. "Wishing you the best recovery, Tee! From Aaron Rayes." I read it, while my mom, Kelli and Jynelle squealed.

"You see?" Kelli said and I rolled my eyes, still staring at the card.

"How adorable!" Mom smiled, causing me to cringe and look at her.

"You too?" I asked her.

"In my defence, I'm not a HUGE fan of Aaron, but I do like him. And I see how much you both are meant to be with each other." Mom said.

"That's super cheesy!" I said. She isn't making any sense!

"I think it's not cheesy. It's true." Kelli teased.

"You guys seriously deserve a whole romance novel!" Jynelle squealed.

"Shut up!" I yelled, tossing another throw pillow at her. Then, my sister Tori, came in to the room.

"I was on the phone in my room and I heard so much noise from here. What's all the racket about?" She asked.

"Your sister is in love with her boss!" Kelli said.

"Ooh! Tell me all the juicy gossip." Tori squealed, sitting on the bed beside Kelli. Ever since they met, Tori had always been quite close to Kelli. They both think alike, so they get along well.

"There is no juicy gossip!" I shouted.

"They kissed!" Kelli squealed, and Tori squealed in celebration.

"Oh my Gosh! Tell me everything!" Tori was more interested.

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" I yelled. "All of you out!" I yelled, pointing to the door. Kelli, Jynelle and Tori left, still squealing, but mom stood there with her hands on her hips.

"May I remind you that this is my house. That I bought." She looked at me, with her eyebrows raised.

"Sorry. I just need my privacy." I said.

"My house, my rules." Despite her saying that, she left the room and closed the door.

I am not in love with Aaron. He may be athletic, funny, handsome and sexy in every possible way, but he was also emotionless and insensitive.

How can I love someone who doesn't believe in love?

He says love is lust, and lust is love...

He doesn't love anyone...

He doesn't LOVE ANYONE...

HE DOESN'T LOVE ANYONE...

He's way too insensitive.

Impossible

No way

Untrue

Slightly possible

Maybe...

No! It's only lust.

All I need to end all of this is to get a boyfriend, and I'll do just that.

My mind was clouded with thoughts. Impulse blinding me beyond stupidity. I dialed a number and after the second ring, the person picked up.

"Hey, Scott. I need a favor." I said.

○○○○

I was on a date with my high school boyfriend, Scott Erik. He wasn't quite the best listener and was a little full of himself, but he was smart, funny and hot as hell.

I looked over to the side of our table in the Italian restaurant and spotted Becky with a guy. She must've seen me, because she stood up and walked over to our table.

"Hey, LaToya!" She smiled cheerfully. Becky wasn't necessarily the cheerful type, but just a humble, efficient Office Assistant/Clerk, but she seemed to like me above everyone else.

"Hi, Becky." I replied, she glanced at scott who was busy scanning through the menu, giving me a cue to introduce him. "Oh, Becky this is my date, Scott. And Scott, this is Becky, my co-worker."

"Nice to meet you, Becky." He shook her hand.

"Nice to meet you too, Scott." She smiled.

Anyway, wussuh...

What did you think of the chapter, of Scott, of LaToya's mom etc. Comment any postive thing!
