Aaron's P.O.V
Heartache and heartwreck can be described as the moment LaToya walked out on me after I told her I loved her.
I couldn't sleep that night, or any of the subsequent nights. My mind was occuped.
She didn't give me a definite answer! What was I supposed to think at that point?♧♧♧♧♧
Is she standing me up?
I was very anxious as forty five minutes had passed and LaToya hadn't shown up. I had invited her to watch a new Netflix movie with me. I didn't want to watch anything, but I just wanted to see her face and I wanted her answer. She seemed stressed when I asked her if she loved me three days ago. I just didn't know what to think at that point.
Another fifteen minutes had passed, making it a whole hour LaToya was late. It's official. I've just been stood up.
After much contemplation, I decided to call Rissa and asked her to watch a movie with me instead of LaToya. I really didn't know why I did that. Maybe I just wanted a break from all of the drama and maybe Rissa could divert my attention from everything.
She was really quick and showed up within fifteen minutes. We watched an episode of Game of Thrones, but I didn't pay much attention. I was bored to death!
Rissa was nowhere as fun and lively as LaToya. She was flirty and girly, always batting her eyelashes at me, but I found it very fake and unattractive. LaToya, on the other hand was funny. She wasn't super careful while eating, she laughed really loud and loved wearing my oversized shirts.
I missed LaToya terribly and I was dying of boredom, so I helped myself to a glass of vodka to ease my heartache. Of course, one glass became two, then two, three, then three, four...
By the time I finished my nth glass, everything was distorted. I wasn't totally drunk, but I was way past tipsy.
I imagined the night with LaToya instead and I got too into my imagination. I didn't know what came over me, but I leaned in and started to kiss her slowly.
I heard a door open, but I ignored it, until I heard someone drop something on the floor. I was startled and turned to see who it was.
"I'm sorry for intruding." She said, and had tears in her eyes. It was LaToya.
"No, it's not what it looks like. I swear." I got up, totally ignoring Rissa's smug expression.
"Get away from me." She said, below a whisper. "You're a liar." She said softly and held back tears, before getting her black bag from the floor and hurrying out of the house.
I turned to Rissa, totally annoyed at her for no actual reason. "Please leave. I need time to be alone." I pointed her to the door.
"Because of her?" She seemed surprised and my temper flared.
"Yes. Now, please go." I managed to say calmly. She hesitantly stood up and sashayed out of my house.
After she was gone, I texted LaToya.
Me: Tee, let me explain.
Minutes later, there was no reply, so I texted again.
Me: It's not what you think, Tee. I promise. I wasn't joking when I said I loved you.
I waited ten minutes, but still no reply. I sighed and went up the marble stairs to my bedroom. I sat on my bed and rested my head on the headrest.
Me: Tee, I thought she was you, to be honest. I know it sounds stupid, but it's the absolute truth. I was drunk. I'm not lying to you.
There was still no reply, so I left her multiple text messages, 13 of them actually. But, she still didn't send in a single reply. I groaned in frustration. Why the f**k did I kiss that whore?
***The next morning***
I was super eager to get back to the office. That was one place I was sure to see LaToya, but I saw absolutely no one in her office.
I began panicking. Where did she go last night after she left my house?! I hope she isn't with that Scott idiot! If she is, I'll screw his neck right off his shoulders and toss it from the top of the Empire State Building or possibly the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. A hundred thougts occupied my mind. I couldn't see, think or hear straight. All I wanted was LaToya's forgiveness and her love.
Her absence from work continued for the rest of the week and I just couldn't take it anymore. I went to her house, but her mother said she wasn't in. I was heartbroken and in a mess. I didn't eat well or sleep well--- she was always on my mind 24/7.
It was Saturday morning and I turned on my phone to check for any missed calls. My eyes lit up and my heart leapt with joy when I saw a text from LaToya. Could she finally have forgiven me?
I excitedly opened the text, with ridiculously high hopes. This could be the beginning of our happily ever after!
I read the text with a smile, but my smile reduced the more I read. Eventually, my excited smile was replaced with a devastated frown.
Tee:
Aaron,
Don't apologize or explain. What happened that evening is perfectly fine by me. I just wanted to wish you goodbye. A multi billion-dollar fashion company offered me an opportunity to continue my abandoned fashion career. I'm moving to Europe to continue my fashion designing career and possibly start a new life there. I'm catching a first flight to London tomorrow and I sure will miss New York, but it's for the best. And besides, I've been contemplating the offer for quite a while and I see no reason not to go.Farewell,
Signed, Tee.My heart fell and I was completely heartbroken. I can't live without her, I just can't. What'll I do now?
---------------------------
Heartbreaking right?
Do you think she should go or stay after everything that happened?
I personally hope she doesn't go... (*facepalm*... I'm the one writing the story...)
Anyways, hope you enjoyed that chapter... even though it was quite short.
XOXO,
Essie♡
