Aaron's P.O.V

"Ron." Someone tapped me. I looked up to see LaToya looking a little distressed. "I need your help." She continued, looking a bit confused. I sat up from the couch I laid my head on, while I waited for LaToya to finish showering.

"With what?" I asked, willing to do anything that'll calm her down.

"Aaron, my father called me. He said to meet him at the Starbucks two blocks from here, 30 minutes from now." She said, looking upset. "I don't  know even know why I still call that man my father. He left us six years ago, probably because he was tired of responsibility." She said with disgust.

"It's okay, Tee. Have a seat." I said and made room for her on the couch beside me. After a silent moment, she groaned and rested her head on my chest in frustration. I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her close. I had to be honest, it was one of the best feelings ever. Who knew I'd enjoy cuddling a girl that was actually mine so much.

"I'm not going." She suddenly said, with firmess and finality in her tone. "I don't see why I should give him the privilege to explain himself when he abandoned us as soon as we needed him the most... even after all of our great times together."

"Tee, that's the more reason why you should go. If you all had great times together, then there must be a good reason why he'd just leave all of that overnight." I tried to reason with her, while playing with her hair.

"You're right, but I don't..." She started, but I interrupted her.

"But you don't wanna forgive him." I accused, still playing with her hair.

"It's not that I don't wanna forgive him..." She tried to defend herself.

"Then, just go. Please." I pleaded, and she got up to have a clear view of my face. Dammit! I was enjoying our closeness!

She, after another silent moment, sighed in defeat and plopped down the white sofa. "Fine. I'll go, but I can't promise that I'll change my opinion about him." She said.

"It doesn't matter, what matters is that you hear him out." I said.

"Yeah, okay. I still don't know when you became my father's advocate." She rolled her eyes, and I looked at her with one brow raised. "I mean, all that's left for you to look like one is a black briefcase filled with meaningless files. You already have the overly formal suit." She said, rolling her eyes again.

"My suits are not overly formal. They're tailored to perfection." I bragged, defensively.

"Kinda are." She said, looking away from me. I said nothing, but I stood up and got closer to the sofa where she curled herself on. I swiftly started tickling her and she laughed uncontrollably.

She looked so carefree and attractive. I honestly, truly want to spend the rest of my life with her. She was nothing but pure joy and happiness, with a hint of fierceness and independence. She far was more than just lovable

"Okay... Oh... kay... I'm sorry... I'm freaking sorry... please..." She managed to say in-between laughs, but I didn't stop.

"Who's you daddy, Tee?" I suddenly called out, still tickling her.

"What... the hell?" She said in between laughs again.

"Who's your daddy, Tee?" I asked again.

"Ok... you! You are... please... you are!" She could hardly breathe at this point.

"Good girl." I finally stopped tickling her.

"I'll get my revenge." She yelled, standing in front of me with crossed arms and a mischievous smile across her face.
