Heyooo,

"No. Freaking. Way." I stood shocked, outside LaRosa. It was locked up and there was a notice sign on the door. Janelle ripped it off the wall and we read it together, although we both had ideas on what it was about.
"Notice. This building has been sold out and no longer belongs to LaRosa boutique. Thank you, Building manager, Trent Victors." Janelle read out loud. "Who could they have sold it to?" She asked.
"Aaron Rayes. I'm a hundred percent sure of it." I started walking to the manager's office, beside the building. I barged into the office angrily, with Janelle following closely behind.
"How could you sell the building?" I shoved the notice paper in front of his face."He offered a lot of money." He didn't look even a little guilty.
"But we pay a lot of rent, don't we?" He nodded. "You sold it to Rayes, didn't you?"
"Rayes? No. I sold it to someone else." He said.
"Oh, ok." I calmed down a little. "But, what about all my LaRosa clothes and furniture?"
"He bought that too." He shrugged.
"Then you've got to pay me my share." I replied. He reached into a bag under his desk and handed me a hundred dollar bill. "Where's the rest of it?"
"That's all. Now can you please get out of my office?" He pointed at the door.
"But, where do you want us to work, Trent?" I became frantic.
"I don't know and I don't care. Now, please, out, before I call security." He still pointed at the door.
"LaToya, let's just leave." Janelle looked down. We turned around to leave, but then I stopped and turned back around.
"You know what, Victors? You're nothing but a heartless asshole. A freaking opportunist. Lowlife bottom-feeder. I bet the reason you're such a miserable bastard is that you're lonely. You're alone. Your wife is out with a new man every night, while you work your ass off day and night. And you're alone. Karma is a bitch. And you're gonna get what's coming to you." I pointed at his chest and insulted him, before walking out of his office angrily.
"I know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna get a job and make them all pay. They'll see." I was really upset.
I went home, packed some of my clothes and essentials into a duffel bag. I called Tori to come home as soon as possible, which she did. She packed a few of her stuff too and we called a Taxify to drive us to New Jersey to my parents' house.
"Hey, mom." I greeted when mom opened the door to their duplex.
"LaToya. Tori. I wasn't expecting you both. How are you? Is everything alright?" She asked, sitting us down on the dusty couch.
"I wish. Victors sold the building. And all my stuff and gave me only a hundred dollar bill. Now I don't have a job."
"I'm so sorry to hear that. But you called me two nights ago about some Aaron Rayes offering you a job. Why don't you take that?" She tried to reason out.
"I can't. He's a total jerk. Besides, I already rejected his offer."
"You said he gave you his card." Mom said and I nodded.
"The only way I'll go back to him is if all else fails. But, I'll get a job. I don't need him." I got up to get a bottle of water from the fridge. I took a small sip. "One last thing, Tori has to stay with you now. She'll have to transfer schools." I took another sip.
