I have been neglecting to write new stories, so I thought I would rebrand an old one shot I wrote a long time ago. It was originally a barely viewed Dan Howell x Reader, so I have decided to post it within my most viewed collection in hopes of having more people read it ^^

Please enjoy this Alternate Universe story with everyone's favorite horseface, Jean!

**WARNING: Multiple things are laced within this oneshot that could unintentionally cause you mental harm, so please tread on with caution or stop reading**

He was a monster.

She slowly sipped her coffee as the memory of that cruel night stabbed at her. She sat quietly as rain drops pattered against the windows. It was like Mother Nature was also saddened by what happened.

A knock sounded at the door, but she didn't have the strength to answer it. Maybe they would just go away... She continued to slump in her chair, but sighed in annoyance when the knocking didn't stop. She slammed the mug onto the table and rushed to the door. The incessant pounding of fist on wood was giving her an extreme headache. She yanked the door open and gasped in surprise. The very man she despised stood before her.

"What the hell do you want?"

"T-to apologize..." Guilt was written all over his face, but she couldn't care less. In her eyes, all she saw was a murderer.

"I DON'T WANT YOUR FUCKING APOLOGY! GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME, AND DON'T EVER SHOW UP AT MY DOOR AGAIN!" Then she slammed the door in his face and stormed back into the kitchen. Her defenseless cup of coffee stood no chance as it made contact with a wall. The porcelain mug shattered into a million pieces as boiling hot coffee splattered everywhere like paint. A few tiny droplets flashed her skin, but she was sobbing too hard to notice.

She was gone, and it was all his fault.

She curled further into the couch as she laughed hysterically at a joke her favorite actor/actress recited. It was a lame joke, but the way he/she said it was hilarious. She had texted Jean, her boyfriend, a few hours ago to see if he wanted to Netflix and Chill or something before (S/N) arrived, but he said he was at Sasha's birthday party so he'd stop by afterward. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door.

Three knocks specifically.

She opened the door to see a man clad in dark blue with a badge pinned to his chest.

"Ma'am?"

"Is something wrong officer?"

"I'm very sorry..." He took off his hat as he delivered the most heart shattering news: "Your sister passed away after a terrible accident..." Time seemed to stop as her brain tried to process what he said. Emotions seemed like a distant memory until she finally registered his words. Maybe she had heard him wrong? Or perhaps this was some horrid nightmare she was bound to wake up from. However, the man's frown appeared to be quite real.

"N-no..." Her knees grew weak constraining her to lean on the door for support.

"I'm sorry for your loss..." Then he walked away from her speechless frame. She closed the door with trembling fingers and crumbled onto the floor. Her body shook violently as she hugged her knees. She bit her lip as a pool of tears fell from her foggy (e/c) eyes. The pain was unbearable. Her sister meant the world to her and now she was gone.
