Chapter 9. Lies exposed..

Angie looked at the time on her phone. It was 12.30. She was meeting German at 1 o'clock..

Angie pulled Jade back down onto the bench.

"Look Jade, i'm not going to let you ruin things between me & German! and that's a promise too! He doesn't love you. He loves me and we are engaged to be married!" shouted Angie furiously.

Jade just sat their looking uneasy.

Angie continued...

"Oh and another thing I know what your capable off but..you don't know what I am capable off. So trust me when I say this I will do anything to protect my family from you! So stay away or you will suffer the consequences!"

"Well dear. We will see about that" replied Jade.

Jade quickly got up from the bench and ran off as fast as her 9 inch heels could carry her.

Angie sighed.

Angie's POV: Jade better watch out. She's not going to ruin what should be the happiest time of my life. I'm engaged to the man I love for crying out loud! Even though he did lie to me...

It was now 12:45. Angie had 15 minutes to get back to the Studio to meet German for lunch. She got up from the bench and set off.

Instead of walking at her normal pace. She walked very slow gathering all her thoughts and was thinking about what her next move should be... Should she confront German? Should she act like nothing happened?

By now it was 10 minutes past one. Angie was late. German was sat on the bench waiting for her.

German saw her walking slow from up the top of the path. He got up to meet her.

Angie's head was down so she wasn't looking were she was going.

German was so close in front of her...but she didn't know.

German reached her.

"Angie, where have you been?" asked German.

Angie kept her head down until German lifted it up. He saw some little tears trickle down Angie's face.

"Angie my darling, what's the matter?" German looked quite concerned.

"Oh German I think you know!" shouted Angie.

German looked confused...

"No Angie, I have no idea"

"Jade!"

The tears on Angie's face smudged her mascara.

German sighed.

"German, don't lie to me anymore. I know it was Jade on the phone last-night. Hah! a business contact from Belgium! I also know Jade came to the house! Why lie to me? and not even tell me that Jade came!"

Their was silence for a couple of seconds..

German spoke up.

"Ah..er..who told you?" he questioned.

"You lie to me and all that matters to you is who told me?" Angie was crying more than ever.

"No..no.. of course not. Angie I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to worry you"

Then suddenly something clicked inside Angie's brain.

"Ah...now I get it! That time Vilu & I walked into your office..you were there with Olga. I said 'don't say what to us". You said we were going to Barcelona for a family holiday. You lied to me again! That's when Jade came! You didn't plan a holiday at all. You made it all up!"

"Look Angie, you have to listen to me! I didn't mean to lie honestly I didn't. I just didn't want to worry you" German looked as if he was going to cry.

You could see the sadness in his eyes.

Angie wiped away her tears using her fingers.

She looked at her finger, the finger which she had her engagement ring on.

"Look German!" shouted Angie pointing at her finger.

"Doesn't this mean anything to you? We are engaged to be married German!"

"Yes it does...Angie, I'm sorry I love you". At this point German's tears streamed down his face.

"If you love me..like really love me. You would have told  me the truth when I gave you the chance to come clean but you didn't!"

German was about to reply until Angie interrupted him.

"You know what German? Save it!"

Angie walked away.

"ANGIE! ANGIE Come back! Please hear me out!" replied German.

Angie kept on walking.
