Chapter 4. The Proposal.

Angie curled her hair while Violetta was looking through Angie's wardrobe.

Violetta pulled out a red dress and a pair of black heels.

"Angie look, what do you think?"

Angie turned around to see.

"Ah! I forgot I even had that. I bought it months ago and have never worn it!"

"Well now is the perfect opportunity to wear it" blurted out Violetta without thinking.

"What do you mean Vilu? The perfect opportunity?" Angie asked looking confused.

"Nothing, just that your going on a date. That red dress would be perfect for you to wear that's all".

"I agree Vilu"

Angie smiled.

"Well Vilu, i'll get changed so go and tell your Dad i'll be 10 minutes okay?"

Violetta nodded and left.

She went downstairs and saw her Dad.

German was in a suit.

Violetta smiled.

"Dad! You look so smart!"

"Thank-you Vilu. Is Angie ready?".

"She said to tell you she will be 10 minutes"

German nodded.

"Dad, are you nervous?"

"I wasn't until you mentioned nerves. Thanks Vilu"

"Sorry Dad"

"No, i'm sorry Vilu. I just don't want to mess this up"

"I understand Dad and you won't"

Suddenly the sound of heels came down the stairs. It was Angie.

Angie stood on the bottom step. German and Violetta were both stood with the mouth's wide open.

"Erm Vilu, German...what's the matter? Do I look bad?"

"No, not at all" replied Violetta.

"Angie, my darling. You look beautiful" answered German.

Angie smiled and kissed German on the cheek.

"You don't look too bad yourself" laughed Angie.

"You ready to go?" asked German holding out his hand.

Angie nodded her head and held German's hand.

They walked towards the front door until they turned around.

"Vilu, have a good night"

"I will Dad and you two must be home by 11 o'clock and no later, okay?"

Violetta and Angie were laughing.

German didn't look amused.

Violetta stopped laughing and put her head down.

"Goodnight Angie and Dad"

"Goodnight Vilu" Angie and German both replied at the same time.

They walked outside to the car.

German opened the passenger's door for Angie.

Angie smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

He got into the driver's side and off they went.

It was only a 10 minutes drive.
