Chapter 19. Yes or No?

"Angie...? Are you okay?  Please answer me?"

"Errr..German...I....er..well this has come out of the blue. I've always wanted to have a child but.."

Before Angie could finish her sentence German interrupted her.

"but what Angie?" asked German in monotone.

"but I was never sure on when I would feel  ready. I'm 27. I don't know if i'm ready"

"Oh" said German in a sad kind of way.

"I'm sorry German. I don't think i'm ready yet...i'm sorry"

German sighed.

"I understand Angie..I really do. You don't think your ready yet...well I think you are ready in my opinion. I know Violetta is your niece but you've been a rock, a confident and a role model for her. She looks up to you and comes to you for advice. She's turned in to such a different person since you came. Vilu is alot more happier. You've been like a Mother to her. I know your not replacing Maria and I know your not trying too but I know you will be a perfect Mother one day. The perfect Mother of my child."

Angie smiled....again she was speechless. Speechless as she had never seen herself as a sort of Mother for Violetta.

"Thank-you German, I love you. "

They had reached the house by now.

"I love you to beautiful with all my being"

He kissed Angie on the lips.

"German, if you don't mind..i'm going to go for a walk on my own"

"Yeah of course..go on. I'll sort through some work with Ramallo"

"Okay, i'll see you later"

"I'll see you later beautiful. If you need anything, please ring me"

Angie nodded and went.

She headed straight back to the park.

When she got their she sat on the swing..their was no-one around. So many thoughts were going through her mind. She sighed.

XXX 10 minutes later XXX

Someone got on the swing next to Angie.

Angie's head was facing down towards the ground..so all she saw was a pair of little pink, sparkly dolly shoes.

"Hi there pretty lady"  came from a familiar voice.

"Hi Angie!"

Angie looked up and saw Michelle and Lucy.

"See I told you Lucy that you would see Angie again" said Michelle.

Lucy had a smile on her face.

"Oh Hi!" said Angie trying to give Michelle and Lucy a convincing smile.

Her smile didn't convince Michelle.

Angie, Michelle & Lucy sometimes bumped into each-other. I was occurring quite alot over the past 6 months.

"Lucy, go and join those two little girls in the sand-pit while I talk with Angie for a moment"

"Okay Mummy. See you later Angie." replid Lucy. she started to wave at Angie.

Angie smiled and waved back.

"So come on Angie, theirs something up. Tell me...maybe I can help you" said Michelle in a soft tone.

Angie sighed.

"It's German. He..err..he..wants us to try for a baby" stuttered Angie still shocked.

"Aw that's great new Angie.."

Angie interrupted Michelle.

"I told him, I don't think I'm ready yet Michelle"

Michelle sighed and took Angie's hand.

"Look Angie, being a Mother is the best thing and the best feeling in the world. I was just like you, you know? I didn't think I was ready but.. I was in a relationship with some guy for 4 years and he wanted to try for a baby. I said I don't know but one thing lead to another one night and we didn't use protection and bam! 3 weeks later I did a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I was so scared and believe it or not...I was going to have a termination as I still didn't feel ready, but I told my boyfriend and we talked about it. He convinced me and when I went for my first scan & I saw my little baby for the first time. I knew I wanted to keep her when I heard her little heartbeat.

Angie sighed. Michelle continued.

"So what i'm trying to say is you may be more ready then you think. I see how great you are with Lucy. When we go home after seeing you in the park..she doesn't stop talking about you. You've told me about your niece, Violetta and her Mother sadly died. The only female role model she has is you and from what you've told me Violetta is a lovely, kind and caring human being. She looks up to you. I haven't even met her and I already know that. I think your great with children. Especially Lucy"

Angie smiled.

"You know what Michelle. Thank-you so much! I think your right! I am ready to have a baby. I do want to be a Mother. I am ready!"

"See I told you Angie! and no problem!" replied Michelle.

"I need to go..I need to speak to her German right away." said Angie picking up her bag.

"Yes! go Angie! Go now! I'll see you in the park next week. Bring Violetta to meet Lucy and give me a call sometime. You have my number.

"Yes of course I will Michelle. Thank you again"

Michelle nodded happily.

Angie ran as fast she could. She reached the sand-pit which was near the gate. She kissed Lucy on her head.

"Bye Angie" said Lucy sweetly.

"Bye sweetie".

Lucy waved and continued to play.

Angie ran as fast as she could.

10 minutes passed. She had reached the house.

She quickly opened the front door.

"GERMAN! GERMAN? Where are you!?" shouted Angie.

German stepped from behind his office door.

"What! What's the matter Angie?! Are you okay?" asked German. He looked very concerned.

"You were right! I'm ready to have a baby! I say yes! Let's do it! Let's have a baby" shouted Angie excitedly.

German picked Angie up and spun her around.

"I love you Angie Carrara soon to be Castillo. Our lives together are just beginning"

"I love you too German Castillo"

They kissed.
