Chapter 29. 3 Months!

Date: Monday 6th October

Wedding day date: Friday 17th October.

Weeks pregnant: ......

German pulled Angie in to a tight embrace. The Doctor was looking so closely at the screen still.

"Miss Carrara, can you please do me a pregnancy test, here at the hospital. The pregnancy tests we do here show us exactly how many weeks you are gone".

Angie looks confused...so did German.

"Erm yes, of course I will but can I ask why? I only found out I was pregnant this morning and we only began trying for a baby a week ago".

"It's just Miss Carrara, looking at your scan here..your baby looks abit bigger then a normal growing baby. I think it's possible that your not  1 week pregnant, I think you are 2-3 months pregnant. So I will go and get you a pregnancy test now"

Angie looked shocked...again so did German. The doctor left the room, he took the machine with him.

Suddenly something clicked in Angie's head.

"German!, remember that time when we..you know.....we didn't use any protection!" shouted Angie.

German looked gobsmacked.

"Oh Angie! but you've only started to be sick these past couple of days...I don't understand".

"I don't either. I'll do this test and we will see".   The Doctor came back in with the test box in his hand.

"Angeles, the toilet is the 2nd door on the left. You know what to do. As soon as you are finished, give the stick to the nurse.  The nurse will be out in the corridor. It will take 5 minutes to process. The nurse will then pass it on to me and then we will take it from their. Okay?"

"Yes". The Doctor gave her the test and off she went.

German sat patiently in the chair for a couple of minutes..then Angie came back.

German got up and gave Angie a hug to reassure her.

They sat on the bed waiting for the doctor to come back....

xxx 5 MINUTES LATER xxx

The doctor came back, he stood at the foot on the hospital bed.

Miss Carrara, Mr Castillo, congratulations, you are 3 months pregnant"

"b-b-ut how!?..I haven't suffered with any morning sickness until 3 days ago. I haven't got a bump either".

German looked speechless.

"Some women don't suffer with morning sickness straight away..like you for instance. your only 3 months pregnant and now you've started being sick. Also the reason for no bump is partly because as well as you know. You are very undernourished..as you have not been eating properly the baby has not got any of the food to grow...but don't worry your baby is a fighter. You are on a drip too..that will give your body and the baby all the missing nutrients needed. You will be able to go home tomorrow."

Angie nodded.

The doctor continued.

"I will print you a copy of the scan each for you now".

"Thank-you Doctor" replied German.

The Doctor nodded.

"Since you have just had a scan now when you should have one earlier. I'll let you know also that when you reach 4 months pregnant that's when you find out the gender of your baby. So I will send you a letter out with an appointment for one months time".

"Okay thank-you". Angie smiled.

"Now Angeles, you must rest. I'll pop in to see you later on"

The Doctor left. Angie let out a big gasp.

"German! where's Vilu!? Where is she!?".

"She's in the waiting room with Olga and Ramallo".  replied German.

"Well go tell her i'm fine, she will so worried".

German nodded and kissed Angie on the forehead.

German walked down the corridor and went into the private waiting room. Violetta, Olga and Ramallo sat up straight away.

"Well Dad, how is she!? Is the baby alright!?" shouted Violetta.

"Vilu, Angie is fine she will need to stay overnight but we have some great news to share".

Violetta, Olga and Ramallo lent forward with a great big smile across each of their faces.

"Angie is not 1 week pregnant, she is 3 months gone!" shouted German excitedly.

Violetta ran to German and hugged him so tightly.

"Oh Dad! That's brilliant!".

"Mr German, i'm so happy for you both. Congratulations!" replied Olga.

"Congratulations German". Ramallo shook German's hand.

"I cant believe it Dad, Angie 3 months pregnant! We are going to be a proper family really soon!" squealed Violetta.

Everyone was smiling.
