Jeon Jungkook
I'm feeling estatic! I had the confidence yesterday telling her that I'm taking her out but now, I'm freaking nervous! I tried so hard to keep myself calm but to no avail my heart was beating loudly that could make me deaf.
I know I can do this. There's no turning back. I don't want to screw my first date with Lisa. I'm so glad that finally she accepted me.
I was about to knock on her door when it suddenly opened. There stood a man more likely is her Father the resemblance is undeniable. I felt more nervous seeing him face to face.
Flashback
I called Lisa and she answered it in a second. Wow! I'm surprised back then she never answered any of my messages and calls.
"Hello Jungkook" I smiled hearing her saying my name. Its still surreal to me. "Jungkook?" I was in cloud nine that I forgot I was on the phone.
"You didnt delete my number" I uttered. I'm surprised that she already knew who's calling. She saved my number and I was smiling weirdly.
"Fo-for u-rgent matters I guess" she shyly uttered stuttering. "Why did you called anyway?" changing subject, huh.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow"
"NO!" she abruptly shouted.
"Why?" I'm confused.
"Dad— its just— lets just meet up. You dont have to pick me up"
"Last time I check your Dad didn't allowed you to the dinner what more now?"
"I'll make up an excuses"
"No, Lisa. I don't want you to lie to your parents. I'm going there and will ask for their permission"
"They'll freak out. You don't know my Dad. He's so strict"
"Don't worry Lis I can handle it"
"Why so persistent Jungkook?"
"Because I want them to trust me and assure them that their daughter is in good hands." She didn't replied maybe she's thinking deeply but before I say anything I heard her voice.
"Fine. But if they dont allow me its not my fault" I smiled in her cuteness even I dont see her.
"Yeah. Yeah. I'll accept it wholeheartedly. So, I'll see you tomorrow?" She hummed. I was about to hanged up when she talked again.
"Wait! Jungkook can we cancel it? You just been discharged from the hospital. Maybe—"
"I'm perfectly fine Lisa"
"Your head, maybe its hurting"
"Lis, are you worried about me or you're worrying that I'll meet your father?"
"Both" she said so quietly that might not be heard but I still heard it. And I was caught off guard. She's worried about me!butterflies were scattered in my stomach.
I felt the sincerity in her voice. I was restraining myself to chuckle. I'm beyond happy.
"Hey Kook, Are you still there?" KOOK?!! Oh, whats happening on earth! She's giving me now a nickname. Wow, isn't been a day, but she's surprising me with her actions.
"Yes, I'm still here. Lis, you have to keep calm. I'm fine, really and about your Dad, I'm sure he'll like me"
"I didn't know you are that you're so full of yourself" she sighed. "Okay fine, I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye" She hanged up.
She's so cute. The smile on my face wouldn't fade out the whole night. Lisa, I think I'm falling hard for you.
I bowed ninety degrees then stood straightly. I introduced myself. He was uncertained at first but he let me in.
Bending my hips to sit down when suddenly Mr. Manoban talked "You said you are Jeon Jungkook" then I stood straightly again like in military being commanded.
"Yes, sir I am" I answered. He chuckled. Why? I frowned.
"Be comfortable Jungkook" just that simple word made me relax. We sitted.
"Who is he?" Asked by a Lady who looks like Lisa's twin. Does she has a sibling?"
"Hello, maam I'm Jeon Jungkook. Lisa's friend" I bowed down
"Hi, Jungkook. Is my daughter making you a hard time?" She asked in a teasing voice. Does they know something? But, wait she's—
"Are you her mom? I thought you're her sibling" I asked, not so believing to what she said.
"Oh, thank you kid. I am always mistaken as her sister but unfortunately I'm her mother."
"Don't flatter her. She'll take it seriously" Mr. Manoban said with a humor. Me and Mrs. Manoban chuckled.
"So what made you visit, Jungkook?" Ms. Manoban asked with a teasing voice.
"Hmm, I want to ask for your permission to take Lisa out" I said bravely. No backing out.
"What?!" They both said.
"Like a date? Are you courting my daughter" Ms. Manoban asked.
"No, no, no" I waved my hands dismissing what they thought "I mean. Just us hanging out. Friends do hangout, right?" I said scratching my nape and looking down.
"No" Mr Manoban said with seriousness and that made my world shut down.
