In the time that has passed it was wedding time, and before I knew it I was walking down the isle my father looking so proud of me. It was also the day he would be able to meet 4 month old Heiress. She was crawling now and I decided to include her in the marriage, our wedding wasn't traditional, it was quirky and I loved every second of it.
Heiress crawled in front of me and my father as she picked up a few petals of the flowers along the way.
When she made it towards Bakari he rose her up and I stood before him. Eyeing the more playful and jubilant baby. The older she got the more happy she seemed to become and as her life progressed I wanted to always make that happen. Even in her teenage years, I always want her to have a smile on her face.
Bakari and I vows to each other were sweet and all but he also had a vow towards Heiress although she wouldn't understand.
"Even though you might not understand anything I'm telling you. I just want you to know you didn't even have to do anything except be born and I'm already in love with you. My daughter, my everything. You literally are everything, you don't even ask for much and I know when you become old enough to talk you going to start digging into my pockets, but it's all worth it. Daddy has a ring for you as well when your finger can carry it, I love you". He placed a kiss on her head and mine as well.
"I now pronounce you as Husband and Wife, you may kiss the bride. OH! And you may kiss the princess". The paster added with a chuckled and Bakari placed a kiss on my lips, pulling away slowing to kiss Heiress's tiny lips. In the most beautiful way. It was a way for me to seal my fate and the way imma live my life for the rest of it. How my forever is going to go.
Nobody has ever made me as happy as Bakari and to know I'm getting to spend the rest of my life with him was exceptional. It was like some type of dream come true that I never thought possible.
So sealing my fate with him with a kiss meant way more than just a marriage. It meant my life is now committed to making sure this man was happy, safe, heathy and always unconditionally loved.
As long as things are going as well as they are I'm sure nothing will change between us. I promised myself that I will work as hard as I could to make sure this will work. That this marriage will work.
Deep down inside I hoped he wished the same as me, and I didn't even need to second guess his love for me. I already know his love for me is true, he proved that when he had a entire fight with his ex-wife over me.
Oh if only Freya realized the kind of love she had when she had the chance. Everything would have all been different.
They probably would have been renewing their vows, and I would be somewhere with Lucas trying to make things work. Lucas wouldn't have been a bad option, he's no Bakari but he wasn't bad looking, and he didn't even treat me badly. It's just Bakari as some type of spark to him that made him more desirable then Lucas.
I'm sure Lucas will find some other woman, and she sure as hell will be one lucky woman, it just wasn't me. Bakari is the one that stole my heart and by the looks of it, he's not letting it go anytime soon.
The wedding was moved to the the inside, I was ready to get my baby out this sunlight, she was starting to get darker, but I didn't mind the Carmel baby getting a little color. I just didn't want her to tan this early on in her life. She was barely pushing 4 months.
I'm no baby expert but I do know babies who haven't even been alive a year shouldn't be in the sun for every long.
I carried her little chubby butt inside, her little chunky self looked so adorable in her dress. Her chunky legs poking out from the dress. Her legs were looking like some buttery croissants, and I was wanting a bite.
