JOHN'S POV
I woke up earlier than usual naturally, feeling excited. I wondered why for a moment then realized Laff and Herc's wedding was today.
I rolled over to put my arms around Alex, but he wasn't there. I sat up and distantly heard the shower running. I walked into the bathroom.
"Alex, we need to leave pretty soon. Laff said he wanted us to get there by 10:00, and it's 9:00" I said.
"Ok, John. I'll hurry." He replied.
"Can I join you in there?" I asked.
Alex laughed. "I'm almost done, babe." I sighed over dramatically.
We went about our normal morning routines. It was 10:15 when Alex and I rushed out the door.
When we got to Herc and Laff's house, Herc answered the door and immediately smiled apologetically.
"Hey guys, I have to go over to the Schuyler's house to get ready, I'll see you later." Herc said at a normal volume, then began whispering. "He's a bit emotional right now, just to warn you."
We smiled and nodded, and Herc left.
We ran up the stairs to the master bedroom and found Laff in a black suit standing there, looking panicked and standing next to a huge pile of ties.
"Hey La--" I began.
"I CAN NOT FIND MY TIE!" Yelled Lafayette and he looked close to tears. Wow, he really was emotional right now.
"It's ok, Laff. What color is it?" Asked Alex, obviously trying very hard to sound soothing.
"Teal OBVIOUSLY! It matches the maids of the bride's.. well maids of the groom's dresses!" Yelled Laff, sounding like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Groom's maids?" Alex asked with no response from Laff.
I glanced in the open closet, and noticed a teal tie laid out on top of a dresser.
"That tie?" I asked.
"Oh, merci, John! You are ze best friend I could ever ask for!" Gushed Laff. "No offensive to you, Alex." He added and quickly put on the tie. Alex shrugged, looking ever so slightly hurt so I put my arms around him and he leaned into my chest.
"Next is my hair! I was just going to just redo my bun, but now I am so unsure! I need to look beautiful, is a bun good enough?" He asked, reaching up for his hair tie.
"You could leave your hair down, you always have it up." I suggested.
Laff pulled out the hair tie and Alex stared at him like he was insane.
"Um, Alex, what is ze matter?" Asked Laff, looking concerned.
"You need to wear your hair in a bun." He stated.
"Do I look bad?"Laff sounded a bit offended.
"No, you look like Jefferson when your hair is down!" I laughed and Laff looked in the mirror.
"Really? I don't see it." He shrugged, but put it up in a bun again.
Alex and I put on grey suits with the same teal ties. We chatted the whole time, and soon it was noon.
"Dios mio!" I exclaimed, checking the time on my phone. "We need to get to the venue right now!"
We all rushed out the door, Laff not being able to stop shaking from excitement.
We all got in a limo that was waiting outside.
"Laff you're so extra." I said as we drove.
"Hm?" He raised his eyebrows at me. "I do not understand... I have extra of what?"
