LESEDI POV

I awoke late...again.

I thought I was handling Steve's being gone well enough, but I couldn't seem to get up as early, and I lost my appetite right after he left. I just felt sick, as if he was never coming back.

"Lesedi?" Shuri's voice sounded through the bracelet.

"Uh...yes?"

"Look at your bracelet."

I did and noticed one bead glowing. "I'm sorry Shuri. What does that mean again?"

"Come down to our lab, please?"

I sighed heavily. I was about to take a nap since Steven had been picked up to go to elder council training. "Okay."

I made my way down to the lab, and saw Bucky on his way, too.

"Oh, is it that time again?" I asked.

He gave a shrug. "I don't know, I just come when called."

Bucky allowed me to enter the lab first, and Shuri turned. "Good morning."

"Good morning," she said softly. Sometimes I felt she had a soft spot for Bucky, but not for me. Her demeanor changed when she saw me.

"Good morning," I said hesitantly.

"Good morning," SHe was frowning at the screen. "Would you get on that platform, please?" When I didn't move, her expression softened. "Just a health scanner."

Bucky agreed with a nod, making me feel better as I stepped on the platform.

The scanner went on, and I looked at a huge screen. "That's me?"

"Yes," Shuri frowned. "And...oh, you two are rabbits!"

"What?"

Shuri tapped on the screen, zooming in.

I was about to start asking questions until the one word blinked on and off in the upper left hand corner, and Shuri drew an arrow

I was about to start asking questions until the one word blinked on and off in the upper left hand corner, and Shuri drew an arrow. "Oh, you've got to be kidding!"

"And judging by stages of development, this happened the day he arrived, or the day after!" Shuri shook her head. "Don't you believe in planning?"

"Catholics don't believe in that," Bucky shook his head wide eyed at the movie theater sized screen. "Wow. He doesn't know, does he?"

"I didn't know!"

"You have been asleep more and eating less!" Shuri said.

"But not throwing up!" I interjected, and then narrowed my eyes at her. "How would you know-"

"We track the health of Wakandan leadership, as well as Mr. Buchanan's." she flicked her wrist, and the bracelet rattled softly. "Your HCG levels changed, so I called you in."

"Why am I here?" Bucky asked.

"A very important checkup."

If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were hiding something from me.

Bucky blinked at that. "Alright."

"Well," she began brightly. "Congratulations, cousin."

I gave a small smile. She was trying to get rid of me. "Thank you."

"Someone will bring vitamins and things you may need to your room."

I nodded. "I am tired."

"We will check in on you."

I looked at Bucky. He knew something was up, but he didn't know what. Neither did I, but I was going to find out.

I left the center and waited outside. I knew which way Bucky came and left the palace. I went toward my room but took a detour to where I knew Bucky would be. When I saw him, he seemed in deep thought.

"So what is so important about today?"

He was startled to find me on his route to his home. "Lesedi?"

"Something is going on, I can feel it."

"I'm not sure what you're--" He rolled his eyes closed and took a deep breath. "I am not sure what it is, myself, but I sense it."

"Let's walk."

We talked of the Steve Rogers that Bucky knew, and made comparisons and contrasts to the one that I knew. Truthfully there wasn't much of a difference.

"So..." he brightened, changing the subject. "Another baby."

"Yes, another one." I sighed, shaking my head. "I'm starting to get the feeling that every time we are together, there's another on the way."

Bucky laughed as we reached his hut. It was far away from everything but I could still see the palace. "Would you like something to drink? Water?"

"Yes, water would be fine, thanks--" We both heard footsteps, and a lot of them.

"Stay here." Bucky whispred, putting a finger to his lips.

I peeked outside.

Bucky stayed out there for some time, and I couldn't hear everything. Finally, they left, and Bucky returned to his hut.

"What?" I demanded.

Bucky shook his head. "I don't think I'm the one to--"

"Yes!" I stood, and summoned a wind to knock him into the wall of his hut. I held him against it. "Yes. You. Are."
