Lesedi awakens to a dark new day on Asgard:
Steve?-On Midgard, and according to Heimdall, dealing with his own problems. Missing him was painful, needing him but deciding not to call just made matters worse.
Frigga-resting among the stars after deli...
"I'm waiting for my--" Suddenly, I saw Loki running toward us. "father."
"Got a plan. Going to borrow this," Loki grabbed the Bifrost sword and gave Heimdall a different one, though it looked a lot like the one he just took. "Follow me!"
Steven and I ran with Loki to the ship the Valkyrie had landed in. "Come on!" We stepped inside. "Don't touch anything. We don't know where it's been!"
We obediently sat in the chairs.
"This is madness," Loki muttered.
"What is?"
"A bit of business to take care of before I deal with you, darling!"
We flew back to the fortress, watching the getaway ship go in the opposite direction.
"Why--"
"Stay here!"
We sat for awhile.
Then, Loki returned. He threw something aside and headed to the Bifrost. We landed quickly. "Alright, let's go!"
"What about Thor and--"
"And the Valkryrie?" He finished. "That's why we have to hurry!" He pulled us into the dome. He set us in a spot that I remembered well. It was where I kissed Steve goodbye. "I'm sending you home!"
"How will you---"
"You're worried!" He smiled. "You're worried about me!" He touched my face, and mussed Steven's hair. "Getting you home where you belong!"
"Come with us!" I cried.
"I can't leave my brother!" He yelled over the battles around us. "Not this time, but I've got to do do right by you!" He gave us quick hugs, kissed my forehead. "I love you!" He knelt. "Take care of each other!"
"Where will we go?"
"Ancestral land!" He yelled. "T'Challa!"
"Ta-what?!"
"T'Challa!" Steven repeated.
"We love you!" I was crying. "Be safe, for God's sake!"
"You know me!" He winked and with a turn of the key we were gone.
I heard Brooklyn starting to awaken. Steven held onto the purse with one hand and my hand with the other.
Suddenly we landed.
The place was misty at best, plenty of vegetation.
"Where are we?"
I looked around. "I...oh, my God."

Suddenly, a group of guards appeared. They were bald headed women.
"Who are you?" the leader asked, spear still pointed as were the whole band's.
"I...I am told this is my ancestral land?"
"Show us."
I didn't know what they were talking about. Each of the women pulled their lips down to reveal an iridescent tattoo.
"You have no mark?" the soldier became outraged, and raised her voice. "She has no mark!"
"Please, I was told to look for T'Challa?"
"What do you want with our king?"
King?
Next thing I knew we were being rushed. Steven stepped up, drawing his sword and pulling his shield. "Leave my mother alone!"
The leader laughed. "Very brave, little one--"
Steven threw his shield.
"Steven, no!"
The leader's spear was cut in two, the point of it on the floor at her feet. She raised her eyes to us as the shield bounced off the panther statue, nicking its leg and was caught by its owner.
"Steven, no." I shook my head at him. He looked uppset, but more determined than anything.
"What cuts vibranium?" a soldier gasped.
I covered Steven's mouth. "We need to see T'Challa."
"We will see," the leader seethed. "Take them!"
A fight ensued. At first I was trying to take them one at a time hand to hand, and Steven took out a few, but they were too many and skilled. I brought a wind up to blow them back. They gasped, coming to their feet, but now were even more scared than before, therefore more dangerous. "I mean no harm, we just want to see--"
"Witch!"
"No!" I shook my head, and tried to change my tack. "We will go willingly, just don't harm us, especially my son!" They recovered their weapons and circled us. "We just want to see T'Challa--"

Suddenly from out of nowhere, a figure landed on the statue. He looked down at the nick in it. He was dressed like a panther himself. "You seek T'Challa?"
"Yes." I swallowed hard, close to tears now. "I have come to beg asylum for my son and me."
"From where?"
"Everywhere!"
He took off his mask. "Who are you?"
"I am Lesedi Evelyn Munroe..." I took a deep breath, hoping this wasn't bad. "Rogers."
"Rogers?" He took off his helmet, his eyes narrowing at me. Many eyes narrowed at me. He looked at Steven, who was still brandishing his shield to protect us. "I am T'Challa. Bring them to the palace. Do not harm them." Suddenly, Brooklyn yipped and all looked down to see him stick his head out of the bag. "and their little dog, too."
