On the second day, Michiyo was finally allowed to go home. She was completely unaware that the Dabi with her right now was a clone. On top of that, she had no idea Dabi was Touya and Touya was Dabi because she couldn't see the appearance from her memories. She was scared because she had the desire in her heart to see the most important person to her but she couldn't remember him at all.
The clone was looking at Michiyo from the inside of a taxi. The drive home was silent. The driver was quiet and ignored them since they were both quiet anyway.
The clone was told by Dabi to go on as Touya and to do whatever Michiyo wished for. The clone knew what the original Dabi did to Michiyo because all memories of the original will also be cloned into the clones. Even though he personally didn't do anything to Michiyo, the clone still carried guilt on his back.
"Sometimes I wish I can see through you easily like a mirror, Michiyo." The clone said while looking at the fading reflection of Michiyo from the window. "When you are troubled, you always keep it to yourself. You never talk about your it, but Dabi always know what you are thinking about somehow." Dabi was clever just like that. When you love someone enough, only one look at them was enough for you to know if something was wrong or not.
Michiyo looked down at hands that were on her lap. She put her left hand on top of her right, a little worried about what's going on. "It's just I'm worried."
"...about Dabi?"
"I still can't see him from my memories. I want to see him, Touya."
The clone stayed silent because he didn't want to fulfill that wish; seeing Dabi meant she will remember something horrible. In all honesty, she's better off not remembering Dabi at all. He could have a restart with her as Touya and she could have a fresh restart free from pain and tears. "Michiyo, Dabi would have liked to take you out on a date. How about we head home first, rest a bit, and then go out for dinner?"
"I haven't went out for dinner for a while." She wanted to refuse, but her stomach was betraying her. "What do you feel like having?"
"Whatever your choice."
Michiyo smiled and she gave it a thought. "I want to have Italian for dinner and then I want to go to a Japanese dessert house."
"Why not have an Italian dessert too?"
"Because I have a feeling you like Japanese style treats."
The clone was a little happy to hear that. He should be a little worried about her knowing that, but he stayed quiet about it. Just like the original, there was a sense of longing inside him. He wanted to hold this girl close and protect her. But just when he was about to simply touch her hand, the memories of having hurt her would force him into hesitation. Those memories of the original will always remind him that the original had hurt her.
"Ah, I'm paying for dessert, don't argue with that, okay?"
Dabi knew he could have just paid it through Giran's card, but if that's what she wished for then that's fine by him.
They were about to arrive home, but then Dabi remembered something very important. "Stop the car."
"Touya, what's wrong?"
"Michiyo, go to the shop and refill the refrigerator with groceries, would you? Dabi said he forgot to do that. He probably left something moldy in there."
Michiyo made a dreaded face and she gasped in utter horror. "He forgot trash day?!"
Dabi nodded.
"Noo! H-how?! I was only at Dr. Kibou for two nights! Why?!"
Dabi chuckled at her reaction; if she was not the tragic heroine, she'd be the ideal wife. He patted her on the head. "Forgive him?"
