A few months went by and Michiyo and Dabi continued to live with one another. From the perspective of others, she was just a normal girl who went out and about with her own life. Dabi on the other hand continued to change strive for the world Stain wanted to see. The two of their worlds were like oil and water but the two refused to part with one another because their feelings for one another was stronger than any stone.
Michiyo continued at her part time work and she realized she hadn't seen Kirishima or Todoroki in a good while. She didn't dwell on it too much because she believed the life of a high school student was a very busy one and they have their own future to think about before worrying about her. She was wiping a table by the windows and she looked up at the blue sky to see no sight of clouds; she's so happy to live this far and be able to see the sky as beautiful as now. Even if her job wasn't a significant one, she was happy to be here and to be alive.
"Michiyo-chan, break time." Keita had to remind her because sometimes she could get too focused that she forgot to take one.
"Sure~." Michiyo went to the break room and she decided to tell Keita something good. "Keita-san, someone got married~."
Because the ring was a stolen property, Michiyo needed to be careful about wearing it in front of others. Only a few selected people were allowed to know of the blue ring's existence. When she's in the safety of her apartment, she will wear the ring around her ring finger, but when she's out and about, she will put the ring through a silver chain and wear it inside the clothes she's wearing. That way, she could keep it close to her at all times.
"Look how beautiful the blue is on this jewel! It's as if it rose up to the surface from the very bottom of the sea!" Keita was admiring the ring. Contrary to appearances, Keita's quite an enthusiast when it came to jewelry from the distant past. Keita was one of the people trusted to see Michiyo's wedding ring. He didn't agree with stealing, but he believed Dabi must have a reason of his own to steal it for Michiyo. Even now, Keita doesn't know the real story behind Michiyo's blighted past. However, he could somewhat tell she had been through a lot of pain just by looking at her in the eyes. Keita would never ask what happened; all he wanted was for Michiyo to be happy.
Michiyo was smiling in the break room, happy with Keita's reaction to the wedding ring she wanted from Dabi. "I didn't think he would really go and get it for me."
"Dabi's appearance would say otherwise but I can tell he loves you a lot." Keita returned the ring to her and he watched Michiyo put the ring through the silver chain. "Michiyo-chan, are you happy?"
When asked that question, she had only one thing to say. "Yes, I'm happy."
Back with Dabi, he was making a video call to Ichinose to tell him what he did.
--So instead of earning money and buying a ring like a normal person, you decided to steal it. That is actually very clever. That way, you get to save money on her and spoil her.-- Ichinose gave him the thumbs up.
Dabi scratched the back of his head and he looked away, a little shy having to tell Ichinose what happened.
Ichinose smiled, --You're probably thinking about what happens after proposing, right? You don't have to think too much into it.--
Dabi still didn't look at the screen.
--Is it because of your father and your mother?--
Dabi now looked up. "I'm scared if I will hurt her again." He did it once and he was scared he will do it again in the future. He was scared of hurting her; when he had hurt her, he was reminded of the way his father abused his mother in front of him and behind his back. Dabi was scared of creating a self-fulfilling prophecy and slowly become the one thing he loathed the most.
