Gray gently hold up my chin, making me glance up at him.
"Don't worry about him." He smile at me, "I won't be ashamed to walk around with you, though."
I smile, "Thanks." I said glancing back down at the floor, blushing creeping up on my cheeks.
"Although that was the same thing he said."

School was out.
Before I knew it, everyone was out of school before me like the high school musical.
Sadly, there was no singing, but a lot of yelling from students as some of them drive their fancy cars out of the school with they friends going to the place everyone knows the best, the pastel cafe.
I stand there at the entrance of the school, glancing down at the group of boys I know so familiar, especially the one in the middle, the one that changed so much that I couldn't recognize him.
I chew the right side of my jaw, adjusting my bag straps as I walk down the stairs, hoping they won't notice me.
"Hey, rumors are going around the school that you have the new boy," one of them chuckle but I just ignore them.
"Are you going to another video with him? I'll be interested in watching it." Max wink at me, glancing back at his friends as they high five each other, laughing at the unfunny joke.
My ex boyfriend, Darrick just kept his mouth shut, not even making eye contact with me when all this was going on.
"That's if he can lift her up," Another one named Alex, causing the rest to laugh louder "She'll probably swallow him."
I just kept walking down the stairs, ignoring them.
"Yes." A voice said behind me, before I knew it I was thrown across someone's shoulder, glancing down at they butt.
"I can lift her up."
I glance back at the boys who just stood there, not saying a word.
One of them the boys' who name was Alexander, Alex twin brother, finally spoke up, "We don't mean any trouble," he said, "I saw you put Jake unconscious, everything's cool between Taysa and us. We were just having fun."
He pointed to my ex, "See this is her ex man — he can tell you everything's cool between everyone here and Taysa."
"I don't need validation from someone she had in the past."
The rest of them stayed silent — none of them saying a word.
"Can you put me down now?" I ask softly and he did.
"Thanks." I whisper.
"Get home safe." He said ruffling up my hair, the bright, cheerful smile he always has, on his face.
I nod, "You too." I whisper and with that, both of us went our own way.
The boys not telling me nothing anymore as I walk along in silence.
