"We could've still been together, but you choose friendships that wouldn't last instead."

I rest my phone on the table, jogging over to the wooden door as I swing it open. I glance at Gray standing outside, a excited smile on his face as he show his dimples.
"Guess who has chicken nuggets!"
"Me!"
I couldn't help but smile, moving out of the way so he could come in.
He pause as he reach the door frame, "Wait — is your mother home?"
I shake my head, "No. She hasn't been home for a long time either.."
He nod, moving over to the table and putting the bags with the food on them.
"Aren't you worried though?" He reply, "I mean — before she was always home and now she isn't."
I shrug, "I kinda am but then, she does that sometimes."
"Maybe a new boyfriend she found." I shrug again.
I went and grab two plates from the kitchen, resting them on the table as Gray pour out the chicken nuggets unto them.
My heart sink as I stare down at the plate, "Are you really going to eat that?"
"That's going to get you fat."
"Fatty Taysa is going to be back in the house!"
"You'll look ugly if you eat that."
"Taysa — are you going to eat?" Gray ask quickly snapping me out of my thoughts as I glance up at his soft, worried eyes.
I swallow the lump in my throat, giving him a small smile as I take up a nugget and dip it in ketchup.
"Yup," I reply, popping the 'p' "I just wanted to savor the moment."
I bring the chicken nugget closer to my mouth.
I felt like my insides were already ripping apart just by looking at it.
I was disgust just looking at something I use to love.
I bring it closer to my mouth, the voices in my head getting louder and harder for me to even understand what their were even saying instead of loud screams.
My gaze turn back at Gray worry look before shoving the food in my mouth and slowly chewing on it, trying my best to avoid wanting to throw up.
"Hey, Taysa?"
I quickly glance up at him, "Hm?" I reply back, the chicken nugget still stuff in my mouth.
"I was wondering, the carnival is coming up and I'll like to know if you'll go with me."

I search everywhere in my bedroom, yet I still couldn't find the money I was saving up nowhere.
I was starting to get frustrated, knowing I put the money inside my drawer but yet it wasn't there.
I bite my bottom lips as I turn to the only two people in this house that could've took it.
"I don't have it." Whritence said, "What would I use it for either way?"
"A better haircut." Silver said, snickering next to Whritence while Whritence just glare at him without saying anything.
"Silver — did you take the money?"
Silver turn to me and clear his throat, "I took it in order to protect you."
Whritence shake his head, "I'm not going to lose the rest of my brain cells listening to this foolish." He mumble under his breath before running down the stairs.
I raise an eyebrow as I sigh, "Protect me from what?" I ask, leaning against the dark blue wall with my arms fold around my torso.
"From getting rob." He simply said, "Aren't I a good brother for thinking about your well being?"
"You've ten seconds to run." I warn him, hoping my glare would kill him faster before I can as I watch him quickly speed off.
"Bro, is this what I get for caring for you?"
"Nine."
"I spent it for a good reason!"
I get off the wall, walking towards the door as I glance down to see him quickly putting on his coat and shoes by the door.
"Oh, so you spent it to." I reply.
"5." I said, skipping ahead of the numbers."
