The next couple weeks were extremely boring. My days were just like a lame song put on repeat.

I'd wake up, run, eat lunch, run, go back the the Glade, eat, sleep. That was it. Of course, there was always Newt hanging around me every evening. I didn't mind it at all, of course. Him, I mean. Not it. Anyways.

There had been nothing out of the ordinary happening. No voices in my head. No weird notes or packages for me in the Box. Just regular days in the Glade. Normal was abnormal, to be honest. I just didn't feel right. Until, a buzzer went off.

I nearly spit my water all over Minho when I heard it, and it scared the shuck out of me. "What the hell is that?!" I frantically asked, yet he remained calm.

"It's the buzzer, meaning a newbie is on his way up. Or, I guess, her.. Sorry." He said, shrugging. He put away his lunch, as did I, and we started running. I eventually noticed we weren't running our usual route.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Back to the Glade. Don't you want to cherish your last moments of being a Greenie?" He smirked, and I just rolled my eyes.

The whole way back, I wondered what the new kid would be like. Whether it would be a boy or girl. Tall or short. Would they be friendly?

Soon enough, we were back at the Glade. We went to the Map room first, and then started off towards the Box, where everybody else was already gathered. I made my way to the front, by Newt. He smiled at me, and I returned it.

Finally, the buzzer stopped. I found the silence to be louder than the racket that was occurring before. But then, the doors started to open. Light poured into the Box, and the kid shielded his eyes. I wasn't able to get a good look at him, until he was hoisted out of the Box and onto the ground. He honestly looked terrified. People had already stated making remarks about him.

"Look at him, he's going to klunk his pants!"

"He'll be a Slopper for sure."

"Why would the Creators send a kid like that here?"

"He's not going to do us any good, we should just get rid of him now."

He was short, and a bit chubby. He looked really young, maybe twelve or thirteen. He was definitely the youngest one here. He had brown curly hair. He was looking all around, and he seemed like he was about to cry. Alby was giving the kid the same talk he gave to me, and he was still awful at it. It looked a lot like it was just getting worse, so I swooped in to help.

"Hey, kid. Don't mind whatever that shuckface was saying, he's not the best at welcoming people. My names Rosa. What's yours?" I asked, and he seemed to calm down a reasonable amount already.

"I-it's... Chuck, I think..." He stammered, and I smiled at him. I stuck out my hand for him to shake, and he did.

"Nice to meet you Chuck. Welcome to the Glade." I said, and he looked around again.

"Why can't I remember anything?" He asked me, with a puzzled look on his face.

"The Creators, they wiped your memory. It happened to us all. You'll learn to work around it." I said, and started to walk towards the tree by the Box. "Follow me, we can get away from the crowd." I said, and he eagerly nodded. Most everybody had cleared out already, but there were still a few remaining.

Chuck continued to ask a ton of questions, and I answered them all as best I could. After a long while, it was time for supper. The two of us went and got food from Frypan, and we sat down by Newt and Minho. I sat down next to Newt, and Chuck sat next to us. Minho was left sitting across from us.
