"LAURA"

"We should hang out after school or something?" Laura asked as they walked down the hall together. Eden's hands swayed by her sides in sync with her legs; right arm swung lightly while her right leg stepped forward and then the left.

"Yeah that would be fun. You could meet the group." Eden smiled.

"I'd like that. Maybe grab some coffee or something?" Laura smiled with her eyebrows raised. They were just coming to the corner and Eden knew English was their next class. She just needed to pick up something from her locker. Eden nodded and smiled to Laura's suggestion.

"Sure. I'll text you?" Eden asked just as Laura started opening the door to the stairwell. Her head twisted into confusion as her brows furrowed together.

"I don't have your number." She frowned. It was Eden's turn to be confused. How could she not have my number? I've been texting her for weeks.

"Hold on," Eden said as she pulled out her phone and looked at her most recent messages. Eden tapped the screen to open her conversation with Laura before turning the screen to face her. Laura's eyes squinted as she read the last few messages from the sender.

"That isn't me, Eden." She said with wide eyes. Eden mimicked Laura's face with the addition of her brows knit together.

"Then who have I been texting?" Eden asked as she looked at Laura hoping for answers. She shrugged her shoulders as Eden watched people give her dirty looks for being in the way. "Screw it, I'll find out later." Eden said as she waved her hand to Laura.

"Where are you going? Class is this way." She giggled.

"I have to grab something, I'll meet you down there." Eden smiled before she started to walk away from the stairwell.

"By the way, do you want my real number?" Laura asked down the hall and Eden turned to her.

"Oh yeah," She smiled as she walked back over to Laura. Eden watched as she tapped in her actual number and added herself in Eden's phone. Once Eden got it back, she noticed Laura left heart emojis in her name. That will be a good thing to use when distinguishing the real from the fake. Talking about the fake one, Eden needed to figure out who had her number. She opened up the conversation again and started to type. Act normal.

      1:02 hi :))

Eden started walking to her class when her phone vibrated in her hand. She turned the screen towards herself, quickly looking to see that it was the fake Laura and unlocked the screen. She looked up for a moment to see if she was going to bump into anyone before returning her focus to the screen.

     new message from laura

1:02 hey, how are you x

Eden huffed and rolled she eyes at the screen before she decided to slip her phone into her pocket to answer later. She walked briskly to her locker, grabbing the right binder, throwing the previous one in before shutting and locking the door. Eden walked towards the nearest staircase just as the bell rang. She started thinking again as she walked. In order for the person to receive my number there must have been someone in my contacts list that told them. Therefore I knew the person who gave the number but not necessarily had it.

Eden walked down the hall towards her class before she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around to see Harry with a grin on his face. He didn't speed up to be beside her or anything which Eden was grateful for but he did start talking.

"You're late." He said in a hushed tone. He opened his mouth lightly into an 'o' before she turned her head away from him.

      "So are you." Eden said.

"Yes, I am. But that isn't news to anyone." He laughed a little.

"True." Eden shrugged as she walked into the classroom and a moment later, he followed behind. The teacher didn't care to notice either of them walking in today because it seemed most of the class was late aside from Laura and others. Eden sat in her seat and Laura turned to her.

"I don't want to be here." She grumbled, looking exhausted.

"Me neither." Eden laughed. "I don't think anyone does, tired eyes." She smiled.

"Wise observation, Miss Callaghan." Laura smirked before turning around again as Mr.Young started calling out names. Eden pulled out her phone from her back pocket remembering she hadn't replied.

1:07 i'm fine, how about you?

Just as she placed her phone on her desk and zipped up her sweater a little higher, Eden heard a phone vibrate to her right. She looked over to see Harry lean forward to grab his phone off the desk. That's a coincidence... unless is was actually him. Again, always a possibility.

Eden watched him tap in a message before hitting send. He placed the phone in his pocket and she quickly looked back front. She felt as though his eyes would turn to look at her any second, or maybe he'd see her watching out of the corner of his eyes. Eden waited for her phone to go off but it didn't. She unlocked her phone and checked to see that the message was read, just they hadn't replied. Eden furrowed her brows and looked back at Harry. He rested his head in his hands as he listened.

"Now that this whole Shakespeare reading is over," Mr.Young started and as he said it was over he raised his hands and shook them in the air as if he was celebrating. "We can jump into the next unit, if you want to call it that. Poetry!" He said excitingly. Eden's eyes widened and she straightened up in her chair when it fell from his lips. She loved poetry. She frequently read Love and Misadventure - Lang Leav; most of Lang's poems were her favourites. Eden could recite some of the work off by heart.

"And because you are all in the writer's craft course, you will end up writing your own. But, for now," Mr.Young said as he clapped his hands together, "We will just read some of our favourites; say the beginning of a class every week? Yes, that sounds about right." He smiled as he walked up to the board and started to write.

[an: it's short sorry, but hey i wrote it in one night. that's good, isn't it? anyways i'm leaving a disclaimer right here and now, I will be using poetry from the book mentioned above. I have no intentions of wrecking copyright stuff with the poetry book. All of her work will be made clear. i'm also using poems from tumblr and if there is a writer/a picture of it, it will be here. again, no intentions of copyright on anything.]
