She can't sleep

You rolled over on the bed expecting to feel Demi next to you but instead felt the cold sheet where she normally was. You opened your eyes only to find that she wasn't there. Glancing at the clock on your nightstand that read 2:38am, you groaned before getting up to look for Demi. You searched upstairs first before you came to the conclusion that she was downstairs. You walked down the stairs slowly and felt your heart race in your chest when you didn't see her in the living room. Just as you were about to go back upstairs to grab your phone to call her you saw that the front door was open just a crack. You opened it and felt relief flood through you when you saw Demi with her back towards you, a mug that was almost empty but had been filled with her favorite tea in her lap as she sat on the steps with the blanket from the couch around her shoulders as she looked up towards the sky that was full of stars. "Demi?" She turned towards you and smiled, her arms opening so you could come sit with her. "What are you doing out of bed y/n?" "I could ask you the same thing. Why are you out here? It's almost 3am Demi." "I couldn't sleep so I made some tea and figured I'd come out here, I thought maybe it'd help me relax so I could sleep." "Did it?" "A little. I feel more relaxed but I'm not tired. It's weird, I've been so busy these past few days and I haven't slept much and yet I'm still not sleepy." "Well maybe you would be if you were all tucked in under the covers. C'mon, it's chilly." She stood up and grabbed your hand, walking into the kitchen to put her mug in the sink before walking upstairs to join you in the comfortable bed you two shared together.

She laid down next to you facing you before she smiled and put her head on your shoulder. "Anything on your mind Demi?" "No. I'm just not tired." You nodded your head and began rubbing your fingers through her hair. You saw her close her eyes, a content smile on her face. "You're making me sleepy princess." You smiled and continued to do what you were doing before you heard her breathing even out, her eyes closed as her eyelashes fluttered against her cheek. You smiled before letting your eyes close too, the two of you finally falling asleep together.
