If you're wondering why it turned suddenly into a fantasy story. Its because of my inability to write the mundane. I just cannot. I try, but its against my reason to allow the normal everyday to seep into my brain. No nope. But there are always things that need to go out, things that happen to real people in the real world. So this is my way of writing those things.
Wet, is the story of any one who has ever been told to do something. Anything. The Rule that Julia and Miranda were given was to never go into the ocean, and with good reason. Miranda learnt it the hard way that rules are not always meant to limit us, they're meant to protect us till we are ready.
It is also the story of every parent who has ever tried to shelter their child from a bad experience. Cynthia realizes that shielding does not always mean protecting and that sometimes you need to trust the ones who trust you. Because its always better for them to make those mistakes and learn from them. Especially when you are around to help them if things start going south.
