Miranda did everything for Jules, from teaching her to pleat her hair to educating her which heels to wear on what length skirts. Something Miranda never got to learn from anyone. She was strong and she knew that her mother cared, but it was the unspoken expectations her mother and sister had built up from her that she didn't like. The short fuse of the family was the inevitable glue to their silly trio; the shy little sister, loner mom and crazy rebel.
They lived like an ordinary family, went to school, came home, did their homework, got detention, got yelled at by Cynthia and getting grounded. It was like clockwork, Miranda would get into trouble, Julia would pacify her mother and Cynthia would ask her to take care of it. There was a lot that Julia did for Miranda, but Miranda had made her kid sister the mission of her life.
