You sat in your seat, watching as your guardians set some more food down onto the table. By the time they were done, there were six different dishes out for everyone to try. You were actually surprised at how much they actually bothered to cook, you usually didn't even have enough money for this much food...It was a pleasant surprise to some extent.
"Thank you so much mom, Rei." You said, nodding at the two with a grateful expression residing onto your face. You were happy to see that they were welcoming the group with such opening arms, you didn't know if that was actually how they felt about everything, but you were happy that they weren't saying anything verbally or somehow showing that distaste, that definitely wouldn't be something you would want your friends to know your family for.
Eren looked at the food in front of him, his mouth already having some saliva building up in it. It's been a while since he's seen so much food for them to eat, he knew he was sharing with the others, but it was still nice to see. All of the others on the table looked over at the older women and smiled and gave them smile of gratitude. Of course the two Ackerman just gave the women a nod, but Mikasa seemed to have her mouth showing a hint of a smile. "Thank you for the food." Levi said, looking at the others, probably because he expected them to copy his actions. That was something the others did without hesitation.
"Thanks for the food!" The others said, their eyes glued on the women before darting back to the different dishes placed in front of them.
Your mother chuckled, waving their gratitude off with the flick of her hand. "Oh of course! You're all working so hard out there, we might as well make you a good meal to come back to. You may all begin to eat, you don't need to wait for us." She said, flashing the group a smile.
The others all shared glances with each other before getting the food that they wanted to eat. You were more than happy to see that no one got too much of something, leaving a good amount of food for everyone else to pick from. They probably didn't want to look like a bunch of pigs in front of your family, a thought that brought a small laugh to escape your lips. You knew that if the group wasn't holding back, then they'd most definitely be all over the place, especially with Sasha and her abnormal eating habits. For a moment you forgot that Levi was sitting right next to you, the sight of the male flashing you a questioning look reminding you of exactly that.
"O-oh, it's nothing. Really." You said, reassuring the male as you began to grab your fill of the food placed in front of you. "I was just thinking of something is all."
The male didn't look satisfied with your answer, but let the topic go, returning his gaze back onto the plate in front of him. If it was something that made you laugh than it probably wasn't something that the male would be interested in knowing. For a reason you were well aware of, that thought made your mood drop. It kind of repeated didn't it? The realization that Levi Ackerman was in no way interested in you at all. You guessed you really shouldn't have expected much though, he was a man dedicated to his work after all, and after his first squad died, that part of him was only emphasized. You were envious of how close Levi and his first team seemed, it was like they were all one despite being totally different people...It also looked like Levi wasn't as bothered with their presence as he was with all of you.
You placed your fork in your mouth, pulling the utensil out and leaving the slab of meat in your mouth for you to savor. It definitely wasn't every day that you were able to have a nice, home cooked meal. You planned on savoring every bite.
"So Y/n, would you mind introducing me to your friends?" Meavia asked, her eyes glancing in your direction with a calming look in them.
You nodded your head, making sure to swallow the food in your mouth before introducing your fellow comrades. "Of course." You said, giving your mother and aunt a small smile. Your eyes trailed over the others before you began naming them off, from right to left. "Over there's Jean, he' actually a pretty cool guy...all of them are to be completely honest." You said, a small smile on your face. All of your friends had their own little quirks, but to you that wasn't a bad thing, if anything they made them more unique and interesting...
