2// A familiar face

Cole POV

"C'mon dirt clod, were heading out!" jay's voice called out. "coming zaptrap, just give me a minute." I said as I glanced at the letter before tossing It in the mailbox and running to catch up with the guys.

"What was that all about?" Kai asked me. "Nothing." I reply thinking about the letter I sent to my dad. I feel horrible about lying to him and saying I'm at the school of performing arts, but I just couldn't stand all the pressure with him making me be a dancer.

I followed them into a dinner, too busy in my own thoughts to care why. we sat down at a booth and a waitress (who didn't look too good) came over and took our orders. my mind drifted to my family, my dad, my mom who passed away after I left, my sister.

Raven POV

I was on my lunch break, when my boss came into the break room. "sandy isn't feeling well, can you take over her shift?" she asked me. I nodded and set down my sandwich. I got up and followed her to the kitchen where there was a platter with glasses on them.

I looked at the order, table 6. I picked up the tray and walked across the dinner just to stop halfway, cole was sitting at table. he was wearing a gi. I was confused at first then it all made sense. he was a ninja. I saw him on the news before. so he's been lying all this time.

My hands went numb. the tray fell to the floor, the glasses shattering. he looked up at me and our eyes met. I quickly looked to the floor and without a second thought I hopped over the mess and ran outside.

Cole POV

There was a loud clatter.i looked across the dinner and saw a girl with a tray at her feet,broken glasses littered the floor. She had long raven hair with a blue and green streak and was in a side braid. she had electrifying green eyes that stared at me.

She quickly looked at the ground and ran outside. for some reason I followed her. "wait!" I said running after her. "Get away from me!" she said running faster. I grabbed her forearm. "wait." I said more calmly. she stopped walking. She looked up at me again. her eyes full of hurt and pain. suddenly I knew who she was and why she was trying to get away from me.

She was my sister. Raven.
