{Raven POV}
I sprinted through the forest once again. I passed the giant pine tree i had climbed up only days earlier. I ran through the familiar ground, focusing on my breathing and speed rather than thoughts. My chest was heaving by the time i reached the hilly region. As i stumble down the big hill i trip, instead of falling on my face, i roll and continue running. I see the snapped in half trees to my left and the patch of magical mushrooms to my right. I come to a halt at a clearing in the forest and take off my hood.
Strike sat up and looked at me with his dark green eyes. "Hey bud," I remove the saddle from my back and look back up at him. "are you ready to save a city?"

The people of Ninjago were gathered together at city park. While Raven and Cole's father's quartet played a tune, protesters chanted. All seemed normal. Too normal for Ninjago.
The ground shook underneath them. But it was no earthquake. Across the street the subway station exploded, debris raining down onto the street. The devourer rose through the destruction. The protesters screamed and abandoned their signs, running for shelter. Where were the ninja?

{Cole POV}
We arrived at the heart of Ninjago in the vehicle we created. We came to a halt when we saw the Devourer leaning in to eat civilians, including Jay's parents. "Mom? Dad?" He whispered before leaping from his seat and running to his parents' aid. He jumped up on the hood of their car, nun-chucks swinging . "Leave my parents alone! LIGHTENING!" He zapped the devourer who retreated to eat something else in the city. It knocked down some trees and scared the crap out of some civilians.
Kai ran across the roofs of some cars and jumped in front of the snake. "FIRE!" he shouts blasting flames from his sword. The Devourer recoils and roars in pain then slithers in the other directions. I make my way to a news van nearby. "Are you getting all of this?" The newsman asks. "All of it." The cameraman replies. I slowly pick the news van up, ruining their shot. oops.
"mind if i borrow this?" I ask, shaking under the pressure. I threw the van which hit the devourer straight in the noggin, shattering the windows and denting the side. again. oops.
"go, ninja. go!" the newsman cheers us on. Kai, Zane, and Jay stand by my side. The devourer whipped it's sharp tail at us. "ICE!" Zane shouts freezing the snake's tail. Only seconds later did the ice shatter and the devourer's tail smash the news van.
"uh, i think we only made it mad." Jay states worriedly. The devourer rose up and hissed, baring it's sharp fangs. We are so dead.

Garmadon opened the door to the tea shop. "Traveler's tea." He requested, his voice hoarse."
"only a fool would request travelers tea." The shop owner snaps turning to face garmadon. He narrowed his eyes. "but, you're not a fool." She quickly corrected, "let me just get some from the back." She told Garmadon scuttling away into the back of the store.
"I'm here live, caught in the middle of an epic ninja V.S. snake battle."
Garmadon turned his attention to the TV sitting on the counter. It showed the devourer destroying city park. People running frantically in the background. Garmadon cocked his head, intrigued.
"people, i have never seen bravery like this before. But i fear the ninja are no match for a beast this size. people are recommended to run away, flailing their arms and screaming like little children-"
