"I don't dance!"

Even though the mysterious man next to me had used one of those cheesy pick up lines that I hated so much, I continued to talk to him. Something about him made me want to stay and see what he had to offer. Meanwhile I had gotten my drink and he had also ordered something. "What's your name, hermosa?" he wanted to know, after taking a sip from his drink. "Casey, and yours is?" I introduced myself. "Benito!" he answered, not even looking away from my face once, but he had also hesitated and seemed a little shocked that I asked about his name. "So, tell me, Casey, if you don't speak Spanish, why did you go to a Latino party?" Benito wanted to know. "I promised my best friend and her boyfriend to go with them even though I don't even like this kind of music." I answered truthfully. He nodded, looking at his drink. "How can you not like Reggaeton?" he then questioned. "I don't know, maybe it's because I never know how to move to the beat." I shrugged. "Well, now I am here, and I'm going to show you how to dance to Reggaeton!" he said confidently. Benito quickly stood up from his stool and held his hand out. I laughed a little bit, but shook my head. "Why not?" he pouted. "I don't dance!" I told him, giving him an apologetic look. "Just one dance, please!" he pleaded, then he pulled the sunglasses from his eyes. His eyes had a warm chocolate color and I melted, when I looked into them. "You're persistent, aren't you?" Benito nodded and continued to stare into my eyes. He didn't even have to persuade me because all it took was for him to look into my eyes for long enough and I gave in. "Fine, but only one song!" I added, grabbing my drink from the counter. I placed my free hand in his and let him lead me towards the dance floor. On our way, we passed Felícia and Damon who looked at me as if I was a ghost. None of them had ever seen me willingly go to the dance floor.

Benito came to a halt in the middle of the crowd. He didn't let go of my hand, instead he turned around and used it to show me how to move. The longer I danced with him, the more I started to feel comfortable. Sure, I was literally only swinging from one side to the other, but I had fun and that was all that counted. That single song I wanted to dance to had turned into at least four or five and by the time my drink was empty, Benito had turned me around. My back touched his chest and his hands were guiding my hips, while he was singing the lyrics of the songs into my ear. Damon and Felícia both watched me and both of them looked extremely shocked, but I didn't care because Benito made me feel good about myself. "Aquel día te vi y tu energía sentí desde eso no te quiero lejos de mí." he sang into my ear. I didn't understand a single word, but it sounded extremely sexy. With my eyes closed I let his scent fill my nostrils; whatever cologne he was wearing, it was driving me crazy because it smelt like heaven. I felt his lips brush against the skin right beneath my ear and it sent shivers down my spine. It's not like I didn't have sex regularly, but no guy has ever turned me on without even fully touching me. "You smell so good, bonita!" his now raspy voice whispered into my ear. I swear, I could've taken him right there on the dance floor, but Damon just had to kill the mood. He rushed up to me; his eyes filled with concern. Immediately I stopped moving, so I could listen to what he had to say. Benito also stopped dancing and patiently waited for me to finish my conversation. "I'm sorry to disturb, but Felícia just threw up and she didn't bring a key!" he informed me. You have to be kidding me! "Take my key and bring her home! I'll stay here!" I answered, pulling my key out of the back pocket of my jeans. "No, you have to take care of her. I can't stay over tonight, please, Casey!" he pleaded. I sighed and nodded. Even though I didn't wanna leave, I cared more about my best friend's wellbeing than my own needs. "Sorry, Benito, I have to leave. My best friend's not feeling well." I told the tall man that was still standing behind me, before pecking his cheek and then following Damon to the entrance. I glanced back at Benito only to see him standing there extremely confused. "Okay, let's get you home!" I said to Felícia, when I helped her get up from the floor of the toilet stall she was in. Damon immediately picked her up as we reached him. Just when we were about to exit the club, somebody grabbed me by my hand. "Wait! Can I get your number, hermosa?" Benito's eyes were pleading. I simply nodded and handed him my phone, so he could tip his number in. When he was done, I quickly called it and waited for his screen to light up. "¡Muchas gracias! I hope to see you again." he he said, before pulling me into a hug and then going back inside. Smiling to myself, I walked over to where Damon and Cia were waiting for an Uber.

Damon had told the driver that Cia had already thrown up which caused him to seat her in the front. "I hope you had fun tonight, Casey." my best friend's boyfriend started. "I did and I'm glad that you guys made me go out with you." I answered, smiling at him. "Sorry that I ruined your moment with that dude." he then mumbled. "It's alright, I probably would've regretted it anyways. Besides, Cia's more important than a fling." I calmed him down. "Just a fling? Girl, he made you dance and I have never seen you dance in the seven years that I've known you for." Damon said, holding back a laughter. "Well, yeah. I must've really wanted him." I mumbled, blushing. "Do you have his number?" he asked excited. Damon was like Felícia when it came to hooking me up with somebody. He always wanted the best for me and that also included getting to know a good guy. "Yeah, I do, why?" I asked curious. "Why? Do I really have to explain this? Casey, if he could have, he would have done you right there at the club. That guy wanted you just as much as you wanted him. I'm sure that if you hit him up tomorrow, you guys won't even make it to your room!" he explained frustrated. "I don't think, he'll even remember me in the morning." I countered, shrugging. He just shook his head and then looked out of the window.

About 30 minutes later, I let myself fall onto my bed. For the past 20 minutes I had taken care of Felícia, making sure that she wouldn't throw up anymore and only five minutes prior, she had fallen asleep. I was extremely tired, but the vibration of my phone kept me awake. Yawning, I looked up to see who had texted me.

Benito🐰: Hermosa! Did you bring your friend home?

Casey🌺: Hey! I did, she's asleep now.

Benito🐰: Good, I hope you had a good time at the club 😊

Casey🌺: I did thanks to you!

Benito🐰: You're welcome! I'll be honest, I wish I could have gone with you.

Casey🌺: Yeah, that would've been great 😕

Benito🐰: Una pregunta... Would you say yes if I asked you if could come over? 🤔

Casey🌺: Like now?

Benito🐰: It's my last night here in LA. I'm leaving tomorrow.

Casey🌺: Where are you going?

Benito🐰: Back to Puerto Rico, so what do you say?

Casey🌺: Alright, I'll send you my location.
