Benito
Two months of not seeing Casey. Two moths in which I had turned down every girl at every party because all I could think of was her. Not that I would've dragged any of them off, but I didn't do it without feeling stupid. After all, I had a girl waiting for me and I was proud. The more often I told someone that I was in a relationship, the more normal it felt to say it. It had been so long since I had dated someone that I had to get used to it again. Of course, I kept my mouth shut, whenever interviewers asked about my love life; I didn't want to drag Casey into this hell - as she called it. My friends also slowly got used to me not talking about girls anymore, especially the younger ones - hence Noriel, Ozuna, Maluma and DeLaGhetto - took some time. José and Nick on the other hand, were extremely proud of me and said they'd support me with anything that concerned Casey, especially after they had met her. I was currently on my way to Los Angeles. After two months of recording my new album almost non-stop, I finally had a couple of weeks off and of course, I needed to see her. We had FaceTimed every day, but it was just not the same. It was the first Saturday of the month again, which meant that in the evening, Damon, Felícia, Casey and I were going to go to the club I had met her at. I yawned as I got up from the seat I was sitting in. We had finally landed at LAX and I couldn't wait to get to Casey's work. Felícia had told me, when she was going to get off and had thought that it would be a nice surprise if I just picked her up and so I agreed on doing so. "Are you sure you want to drive yourself?" Luis asked, handing me the car keys. "Sí, I only need you to pick us up after the club." I answered, smiling at him. He nodded as he opened the door of the plane for me. I waved at him, walking over to one of the cars parked on the private airfield. Luis was going to take care of my luggage and I was going to get showered and changed at Casey's apartment anyways, which is why I had packed myself a backpack with fresh clothes in it. On my way to the hospital she was working at, I passed a small jeweler and since I had a little time left, I decided to stop and get her something. I entered the shop and immediately found a cute necklace that I knew she would wear. Casey didn't like jewelry - much to my dislike because I loved flooding my girl with expensive things -; she preferred books, flowers or simply spending time with me. "Good afternoon, sir. How can I help you?" the jeweler asked, when I looked at the necklace. "Hello! I would like to buy a present for my girlfriend. This necklace here looks perfect." I replied, pointing at it. He nodded, took it out of the showcase and placed it in a small blue velvet box. It was not expensive - at least not for me - but still it was worth a lot to me. After I had paid, the jeweler put the little box into a small bag and handed it to me. I thanked him and left.
At the hospital, I went up to the receptionist. "Hi, I'm looking for Casey Andrews." I told the old lady behind the counter. "Her shift should be over any minute, sit down, I'll tell her that you're waiting." she informed me politely. With the little bag in my hand, I sat down in the waiting room. God, how much I hated hospitals. The smell, the feeling of being out of place and overall just the mood inside were all things I didn't like at all. Five minutes later - I was staring at my phone -, I heard the old lady tell somebody that someone was waiting for them. I put my phone away and looked up to see Casey looking around the waiting room until our eyes met. Immediately a smile spread across her face. Also smiling, I got up from the chair and walked up to her. We didn't even greet each other; we immediately kissed each other. "Surprise! I got something for you." I said, when we broke the kiss, holding up the little bag. "Benito, you didn't have to!" she whispered, looking at it. "Open it." I told her. "I will at home." she answered, grabbing my hand. I immediately intertwined our fingers.
Later on, I was sitting on the couch, waiting for Casey to get ready. Damon and I were drinking beer as we heard our girlfriends laugh in Cia's room. "We're never get to the club before midnight." he sighed, causing me to chuckle. "Don't worry, last time they came out of that room, they looked like they were almost done." I answered, grabbing my bottle from the coffee table in front of me. "You might be right with Casey, but Cia usually changes up to four times before we leave." he explained, shaking his head. A few minutes later Casey came into the living room with the little velvet box in her hands. "Can you help me put it on?" she asked, sitting down next to me. I nodded, putting my beer back onto the table. When she had opened the box, she had literally attacked me with kisses. Seeing her this happy, honestly was what I was living for in that moment. Casey carefully removed the necklace from the box and handed it to me. I put it around her neck and closed it at the back. The small gold pendant in the form of a bunny - yes, I had went there - fitted her outfit perfectly.
At around one, we had already entered the club. While Casey and Cia went to get some drinks, I observed the dance floor with Damon. The girls took extremely long to get something to drink, which is why I informed Damon that I was going to look after them. I made my way through the crowd to find a another guy trying to hit on Casey. "I have a boyfriend." I heard her say directed to the guy. "Mami, I can give you things your boyfriend can't." he insisted. My blood started to boil. I knew that feeling all too well. Jealousy. "Did you not hear, she said she had a boyfriend." I then said, walking up behind him. "That's none of your business man, go find another girl." he tried to get rid of me. "Well, I am the boyfriend, so it is my business." I replied to him, trying to grab Casey's hand, but he pushed it away. "Come on, baby, let's get away from him." he mumbled directed at my girlfriend who clearly tried to get away from him as he grabbed her by her waist. He got up from the chair he was sitting on and as soon as he was standing, I realized that he was a lot shorter than me. "I'll literally say it only once, amigo. Deja ir a su o te voy a pegar." I warned slowly. "You? Beat me up?" he laughed a little and immediately raised his fist. It wasn't long until it hit my jaw and that was when I lost it. "¡Hijo de puta!" I yelled before pushing him away from me. As much as I wanted to beat the living shit out of him, I didn't want to ruin Felícia's Latina-Day. Whenever he tried to come back, I immediately push him away again. It wasn't long until another guest had called the securities. They wanted to take me with them as well. "Listen man, that prick over there didn't leave his girlfriend alone and after telling him to fuck off the dude started hitting him." a stranger explained to the bouncer, when he dragged me outside. "Is that true?" the strong man asked me and a few other people who had watched the whole incident. They all nodded as he let go of my arm. "Sorry about the rough grip, you can stay." he apologized, dragging the other guy past the people waiting in front of the club. Rubbing my jaw, I turned around and was immediately greeted by Casey who wrapped her arms around my torso. "Are you okay?" she asked, caressing the spot where the guy had hit me. I could tell that it was gonna bruise and swell, but I was proud of my girlfriend for turning him down and that was all that counted.
